He was good in the first half yesterday, comfortably his best 45 minutes of the season.
Has too many harsh critics on here, especially considering the Valencia love on these boards.

I thought he played very well. He was involved in a lot of our best build up play. It'd be nice if he took his man on a bit more but he was at least adventurous with his passing and kept trying to float good crosses in.
Probably the best performance by one of our wingers this season, which isn't saying much, but it does give me a bit of hope for the City game at least.
You really think so? His crosses were woeful and his shooting was, I imagine, funny for the opposition fans to watch.
He wasn't bad, but nor was he good.
Not a surprise that his best performance has come playing with a mobile midfield. Since his comeback the Chelsea game and this one has been his standout games. Co-incidentally playing with Cleverley and Anderson.
PS: If anyone didn't know this already, imo the midfield is the root of all most our problems.
I think it helps that him and evra have started to form more of an understanding.
That lovely scoop pass down the wing by young would of looked stupid if evra didn't continue his run. they are starting to trust eachothers runs more and linking up much better.
I think he deserves to start against city again.
Best half from him all season.
Possibly his best 45 minutes in a United shirt
Doesn't compare to Arsenal at home last year but certainly his best outing since he returned from injury. Would love to see him cut in and curl one past Hart.
Well the parts where he's done well have been in his passing/linkup down the left side and his ethic tracking back with a couple of good defensive contributions. Rather than taking his man on and putting in great crosses like we'd have expected when he was signed.
Not true at all. We signed him after he played pretty much a full season in behind the striker, impressing far more with his passing than his crossing. For England and Villa. And we all expected that defensive contribution.
So you're saying he completely lost all of his crossing ability by playing a season off the striker. Righto.
His strength was clearly crossing the ball.
