Shirt Numbers 5, 7 and 9

#2 (Rafael), #3 (Shaw), #4 (Jones), #6 (Evans) would hardly be considered world class by any definition. Why the animosity to Rojo already? Ronaldo certainly wasn't world class when he got the #7 either. He's got his chance to step up now, at least wait and see before you write him off
 
Obviously not this season, but I reckon Wilson will be our next number 9.

Regarding the subject I believe giving Rojo the #5 shirt would be a huge mistake. He's not worthy of getting that sort of number and it also signals to the world that a player like him is now coming in to replace Vida/Rio. Ridiculous. Eh? I'm black myself, mate. As for us putting an end to this discussion, don't forget I quoted @Rezyuz, not you. If you didn't want to discuss it, it would have been best not to get involved.
 
I personally am a fan who places significance on the history of our #7 and now #11 shirt, but not all of the numbers and I have no issue with Rojo getting the #5. The funny thing is to see the contrast, some pissed that he's been given #5 while others can't even remember who wore it last for us.

All I'm saying is we have now told the world we've signed our #5 and he's some tattooed gangster-looking beach boy. It will also mean we will have one argument less for the likes of Hummels to sign up. I can tell you right now he's not going to take #7 or 9 let alone 2X-4X
