Serie A 2024/25

I only seen the first 30 mins of Juve Napoli and 15 mins during half time of our game but it looked like Conte was playing McTominay nearly as a 10.
And he delivered with a very typical McT performance, some good moments getting on the ball but then not knowing what to do with it after that

Pretty much. He did some nice things with his physicality but his passing in the final third was poor. He had one really good move which could have been a goal but he overhit the pass by a mile.

This whole game was a crime against existence and both managers and players should be banished to the shadow zone for a year for this abomination. That they even have the gall to talk about who played better....ffs

Watching Fiorentina Lazio. And discovering how Lazio moved on so many players... Anderson, Immobile, Kamada these I'd heard of but apparently they've also sold Luis Alberto to some club in the Gulf.

What a fun game. Lovely end to end football. Well deserved and much needed win for Milan, even if it means Fonseca gets a lifeline. Probably won't stop Inter from winning the scudetto but at least makes it a bit more interesting.

The commentator on TNT was brilliant. You could tell how much he loved what he was seeing and it makes a difference.

Inter will still win the league but it'll be another interresting season for sure.

Not sure who will be Inter's main competitor yet

Napoli for sure, at the moment I'd even say they're the favorite, with Inter as the main competitor and Juve trying not to lose contact while they build up.

I wasn't sure about them before the start of the season, but it's already apparent that Conte's league-crushing mojo is still there.

Napoli look good but I think they're still lacking a little bit. N'Gonge should see more minutes because he has the ability to be a good player for Napoli.

yep yep, he looked class in Coppa Italia.

I dearly miss the Inter morons commenting the latest ultras scandal… wherefore art thou, Romeo?

In jail, presumably ;)

Ok, let’s help ourselves then: from https://www.calcioefinanza.it/2024/10/02/pm-di-milano-inter-finanziamento-ultras/ , the prosecutor investigating the relationship between Inter & Milan ultras and clubs states that:

Nell’Inter «vi è una sorta di cultura di impresa, cioè un insieme di regole, un modo di gestire e di condurre l’azienda, un contesto ambientale intessuto di convenzioni anche tacite, radicate all’interno della struttura della persona giuridica, che hanno di fatto favorito, colposamente, soggetti indagati per gravi reati che sono stati in grado di infiltrarsi nelle maglie della struttura societaria», conclude il Pm.

At Inter «there is a sort of business culture, that is, a set of rules, a way of managing and running the company, an environmental context interwoven with even tacit conventions, rooted within the structure of the legal person, which they have in fact negligently favored individuals under investigation for serious crimes who were able to infiltrate the corporate structure", concludes the Prosecutor.

There's a remote risk the clubs might end up being put under administration

I shit you not I was about to make a post.

Depressing stuff really.
Feel bad now about making fun of Agnelli pandering to the ndrangheta in Juve's curva, it seems we've been sooo deep in that sh*t as well.

I understand that it's not easy for a club to navigate that kind of dynamics but our complete lack of spine is inexcusable.

The stuff that's coming out...damn. Inter's was(is???) literally about to pass to the 'ndrangheta - as in an actual clan outright in charge, rather than people affiliated with them.

Milan's really bad too - though at least there's not been any high profile murders there, that we know of - and it's collaterally hitting famous people too...

This AC / Fiorentina match is low on quality but it's decent entertainment.

Serie A is at such a low point in terms of quality right now.

Atalanta 5-0 up against Verona after 35 mins. I love watching them play when they're on song like this. Wouldn't mind Gasperini as a manager at all, just can't see him moving to the premier league

Same here. Shades of 2019-2020 so far, when they ended the season with close to 100 goals scored, miles ahead of every team. Gasperini is a brilliant manager but he's not suited for big clubs.

Inter - Juventus 3-2 and it's not even half time

Napoli have a tough few games, can see Inter going clear at the top after that and not relinquish it

4-4 is not football, I am truly ashamed. :o Motta is a lucky novice, a couple of wild, until-the-end results are offering him a much needed cushion for the incoming month.

Another win for Fiorentina. Fourth on the table now. I don't have the streaming service that broadcasts live Serie A in Australia, very annoyingly. Are they better than previous seasons or is this a flash in the pan?

What the feck are you talking about

Who will you support next weekend, in the clash of titans?? And yes, Serie A is a wrestling circus waaay worse than the Turkish league these days… still, we are just the Bernies from the infamous weekend at Bernie’s film.

At the red corneeeer: the ndranghs, the magistrates investigating them with their cover on the smartphones, the captain knowing ultras for 20 years without knowing they are criminals, the current holder of the FIGC political edge, the most compact, high-brow fans in the world.

At the blue corneeer: the gomorrahs, the magistrates united in hating one club and fabricating scandals, the most incredible plusvalenza’s smoking gun got forgotten, the beeeest and riveted people fans around, the pundit cribabies, the president aiming at the most Academy Prizes.

I don’t know, maybe they are so stupid it will be a 1-1 draw and see you next time, amigos. :o

Roma have a good squad and have been poor all season.

How the feck do you have attacking options like Pellegrini, Baldanzi, Soulé, Dybala and Doybyk... and still suck.
