Sergio Ramos

He is a disgrace for the sport, due to his "status" as captain on one of the most important teams he is able to get away with that kind of sh*t but he should be ashamed and so madrid supporters to have him as their captain.

He even says that it was a shoulder hit, totally disgraceful.

That used to be the norm in football, it still is in many parts of the world, but but he's a disgrace to the sport.

Give me a break, Scousers should just accept that Salah was a one season wonder and forget about Ramos.

No it isn't, deliberately elbowing another player in the face is not a norm in football.

Ramos is just a disgusting player, stop making excuses for him. He's been doing these things for over a decade now.

He's totally cnut. I don't think anyone can disagree with that. However, fans of each club love their cnuts and the fact they are hated by others.

I would have hated the likes of Herrera if he was playing for a different club for example.

I'd take a lengthy ban to just give him a nice scissor kick across the mug. He's an overrated disgrace of a defender and the referees should treat him as such from here on out in his games. It happens far too often for him to get away every single time.

Did he even get yellow card for that or even a foul?

I can't stand Ramos and think he is probably one of the most over rated defenders to ever play the game. With that being said, I defended him for the Salah injury. For me, that was an unfortunate injury from two players getting tangled up. But there is no defending what he did today. UEFA should come down hard on him. For my Canadian brothers on here, that was an elbow that even Gordie Howe would shake his head at...

I think it might have started innocent but he knew what he was doing when he rolled him (couldn't have know how it would end up mind).

Seen he's tweeted ...."A victory to build on and also to learn from. Football always teaches you things and tonight I shouldn't have gone into the challenge like that. Milan, it wasn't my intention to injure you. Get well soon #HalaMadrid".

Trying to get his "please don't ban me UEFA" plea in early but for me, that's basically admitting he did something wrong.

Very good defender and for an amazingly long period of time. Still a dirty cnut though.

What a car crash of a post.

He acts like a cnut, that's a given, but how many elbows have we seen in the past decade? Like thousands, and half of them go unpunished. Follow Bilbao and Atleti alone and you'll see many instances... But how many bites have we seen in the same decade? Maybe 4? With 3 being done by Suarez, now that's a disgrace to the human race.

There's being a cnut on the pitch (which every team needs a few) then there's just being a fecking loser intentionally trying to injure people. He should get a 5 game ban.

When I saw this thread being bumped I thought it would be about the story of him asking Perez to earn $1 more than Bale that's going around at the moment.

Most of the time i would think that it wasnt the intent to hurt the opponent but with Ramos you know it is.

If any other player would have taken out Salah last CL final like Ramos did you would think it wasnt on purpose but in Ramos his case you just know he knew what he was doing.

Isnt he already the most red carded player in the Spanish league? He could have had so many more red cards during his career.

Isn't VAR supposed to participate for actions such as these?

There's nothing in that.

If this wasn't Ramos, it wouldn't have even been made into a clip.

If he meant it, it was well disguised because that looks like a natural coming together for me.

As someone with a completely unbiased opinion of Ramos, I think he meant it and is a terrible human being.

You know you’ve reached the ultimate when you can break bones and make people bleed... and get away with it.

100% intentional. He's a disgrace
It was frankly pathetic. Totally unnecessary, ridiculous, and if the ref wasn't aytekin it could have cost us greatly. We were still 0-0 at the time. It's 80s stuff, making your presence known. The kind of stuff the sport has been trying to move away from

Maybe its because I've only seen it on the phone but it doesn't look that bad. Sandros stamp on Young looked worse.

Sergio Ramos can create a whole new story or two every week. He's the king of controversy on and off the pitch in football now imo.

Of course it is. His lack of care afterwards shows it and no way his elbow needs to move like that
Yeah. He does that all the time. Either he's an uncoordinated lout with no control over his limbs, or he does that intentionally. What he does generally isn't deliberately trying to hurt people, but throwing his body about in dangerous ways with no regards for his opponent's safety. That elbow yesterday is a clear example of it. (For what it's worth, the salah injury ironically did not fall into this category imho. I really don't think sergio realized the danger of what he was doing there, and the pull was pure instinct rather than calculated. The elbow on Karius on the other hand was this 100%)

Btw, i'm a horrible cnut and my only real issue with this is that it can just as easily bite us in the arse with red cards and bans(it's happened plenty lf times afterall) for a player we can ill afford to miss

I wish we had a player like him at the club. Not scared to rough others up and get nasty/physical.

I bet no one here cared when Keano played for us.

I'm not convinced it is that clear, I can see that movement being pretty natural as he tries to cut across the player to win and shield the ball from him.

Intentional or not I would show a straight red there. You just cannot use the elbows like that when there is an opponent close to you.
