Scott improved a lot since ETH came in. Remember he legit benched Casemiro the first 6 games. Problem is he’ll never get enough of a run to hit his rhythm. He’s an attacking player who’s pretty good at carrying the ball but also good at defending and set pieces. I would also want him sold but not at desperation prices like £30m. Bloody hell if Rice is worth £100m then we’d be foolish to accept anything less than £40m for Scott. He scores for Scotland all the time as well.
One of the biggest issues is he hasn’t improved in years and a much better measure of his value is not what Rice cost but the fact that when West Ham were quoted 40m they signed a different player and ended their interest.
He’s on a great scoring run for Scotland and that’s why have to capitalise now, people forget they at start of qualifying campaign he was on the bench for Scotland because he hadn’t been good enough to start in midfield for them.
