Came in here to tell the negative people to feck right off.
We don't go as attacking as we did without Chelsea scoring. This game ends 0-0 without the penalty. Casemiro is never gonna be in the box trying to score at 0-0.Mate it cost us 3 points. Definitely mattered.
You said he was playing well a while back. I think he was bang average. And your response relates to my comment how exactly?!

I'm a big fan of McTominay but these things shouldn't happen. It was stupid but these things happen. The good thing is though despite him not playing as badly as usual ETH doesn’t see him as a starter or someone to build around or any other nonsense like that. He’s going to start less games and play less minutes which is how it should be.
With odd exception he does seem to be a pretty rubbish sub, going to have to do better.
No, it didn't cost us. Chelsea sat back and we pushed at the end because we were losing. Otherwise we would have just settled for the draw which thanks to Casemiro we got in the end.Mate it cost us 3 points. Definitely mattered.
The issue wasn’t with the grabbing because that happens in every game.Hm surprised with the comments, I thought it was a soft pen and Chelsea player did very well to make more of it. Looks like a regular hustle but fair enough, he did put his hands around him. I just think it happens all the time and don't see a lot of pens given.
‘It happens’ should apply more to accidental issues like mistiming the tackle or the ball hitting a hand in an unnatural position. McT decided to grab a player with two arms and not let go in the penalty area, with five minutes to go in a big game.No need to overreact though. It happens.
As they say around here; this. There should be three penalties every game if that's a pen.
Was soft as anything for me, both had hold of each other, see. Similar every game so far this season.
Fair enough, I still thinks there's a big gray area for the ref. Ronaldo is handled similarly on every corner kick, he throws himself into the ground theatrically, and nothing happens. Maybe Chelsea player was smarter here but still I don't think it's that obvious pen. Maybe the fact McTominay was in fact the one who headed the ball somehow influenced the ref.The issue wasn’t with the grabbing because that happens in every game.
The issue was in him not letting go much earlier. feck was he still grabbing on for when the guy was falling. Made it look so much worse and one of the easiest choice for the ref to give the penalty.

Whether they always get given, and for me I’d say in the context of the way McT wrapped his arms around him and didn’t let go they often do get given, it’s utterly brain dead. The chances of that player scoring in that situation even if you let him run freely vs the chance of scoring a penalty….how is it worth doing THAT?
It’s just not a pen though is it? If that’s a pen there’d be 5 a game. Terrible decision
It’s a stonewall penaltyNot a penalty for me but that's not how you defend. Poor from him, cost us today.
Stonewall pen, not soft by any means. We'd be screaming if it was vice versa and not given.
Incredibly stupid.
