For me he's a player that looked quite good. Easy on the eye, fast, half decent technically but his decision making and end product always seem to be wrong when I watch him. I was watching the Southampton Everton game and remember thinking how no matter what position he found himself in he's find a way to mess it up. As if he was purposely trying to mess it up, was frustrating to watch so imagine what it would be like if he was our player.

He offers pace and thats that for me. Nothing else puts him above our current players and this isn't FIFA. Having said that I don't think he's that much of a bad player that I'd be hugely against the signing, just wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work out.

Other than media links there is absolutely no evidence to suggest we are in for this guy.

True. Even Southampton have said there has been no bid. It sounds like this was nonsense which somehow even got the BBC roped in, who don't really get involved in conjecture aside from their dedicated Gossip page.

No thanks, LVG said he'll only sign someone that'll be an improvement on what we have, it's not Mane.

It's better than not signing anyone so there's that positive. Plus, sometimes these signings work out better than expected. Valencia is a good example of an unglamorous signing that worked out very well.

Nah, its defiantly not. People are just getting desperate for a shiny new toy.

We already have 2 young works in progress in the front 4, we don't need more with Mane or Berahino. We need a forward that can hold the ball up and that has some proven quality.

Surprised no discussion today. Thought he again showed everything we lack today against Norwich. We haven't had a player who can frighten a defender years.

I was one of the few in favour of the signing originally and stand by that. I think a lot who were against don't really know much about him.

I don't care who it is but we desperately need a right winger if Mane is the one we end up with Im fine with that because at the moment we don't have a single player who is good enough to be our starting right winger.

He played well today, I would take him tbh

played well today, and wedidn't, so obviously knee jerk central will make it a no brainer!

Koeman said he will be staying 100% and I believe him. Sort of what he said about Schneiderlin last year.

I don't think he's the type of manager to lie to the fans.

He was poor up until the sending off. He got progressively better as the game opened up and Southampton started dominating. I hate this rubbish like "oh you must not have seen much of him if you don't rate him etc". What's this lark all about? Are people not allowed contrasting opinions?

Look I rate him but within context. He had a great end to last season at Southampton but would he improve us? He has often looked completely brainless in games that I have watched and seems all about pace as opposed to talent. On the flip side, I have seen him give fullbacks a nightmare and have great games. To me he's in the Bolaise, Puncheon, Montero mould. I wouldn't be up for signing him but it doesn't mean I don't rate him, I rate him at the level he is currently at.

The chairman on the other hand....

He's bloody quick. I only saw the second half but he was destroying Norwich down the right.

From a standstill too. Ridiculously quick.

I don't even know if he would fit 'the philosophy' though, he looks like a wildcard; unpredictable, willing to take players on and lose the ball in dangerous areas. An instinct based player like Nani, or Di Maria before him.

He's also fairly strong, isn't he? Someone who gets ahead of his man and is able to stay there is what we need. Reminds me at times of Valencia, in his rapid and strong combination, albeit he seems less reliable and obviously with better end product.

He's hit and miss but you know what... That's better than miss miss miss. We need pace and trickery. We need creativity and my god we need a right winger who sometimes will stay there.

OK he's not Bale or Neymar. But he has that trickery to improve us and defenders won't like lining up against him.

Is he enough? No but he's a good start.

He would be a step up from Young, he can actually find his strikers with balls from out wide. And he can do it from either side.

What is it then? good buy or bad?
