Russian invasion of Ukraine | Fewer tweets, more discussion

We’ll as I already said give me irrefutable evidence that Russians committed war crimes. I hazard a guess you won’t be able to do that. Seeing as you won’t be able to do it, do you think every person that watches Russian news is an orc?

I'll repeat myself.

One Russian has already been convicted of war crimes, to which he admitted guilt.

A lot more will follow.

Indeed. About 1000+ of Azov battalion whom will face justice in LNR and DNR.

Death penalty I believe.

So if you just heard a derogatory term said by a lot of people… is that alright mate? Listen..
There are Russian whom are racist and they call black people ‘негры’ — and they don’t mean anything by it. Do I stand by it? No!
As you have been told, it clearly refers to Russian troops. If it is used it is always in reference to acts of war, and you are well aware of that I imagine.
Are there Russian soldiers who are not to blame and don't want to be there? Obviously, but as @Ekkie Thump said you seem dismayed by one silly thing while seeming to justify others.

There is no nationalistic vigour at all. Loo through my posting history in this thread. I was extremely concerned about this conflicted but I have always maintained that LNR and DNR people got a raw fecking deal. I have said that people like Givi and Motorola broken the law therefore they’re war criminals. I have never ever denigrated Ukrainians. I don’t want this conflict. I will not allow Russian to be referred as orcs though and to let this turn into an echo chamber.

I've read your recent posting history. You replied to a guy that has literally lost people in this conflict by saying that that was irrelevant and he doesn't get to call their killers by a nasty name. The Russian people have not invaded Ukraine, the Russian army has. When someone writes "what those orcs have done in Ukraine" they are clearly talking about the invaders - ie the Russian army - not the population at large back home. So your zeal to protect the honour of Russian citizens is rather undercut by your inability to correctly interpret basic English sentences. Since that point you've decided to dispute the existence of war crimes and basically declared Ukraine to be "no angel".

It is patently obvious to anyone with a brain where your sympathies lie in this conflict.

Let me make something clear; I’m anti war but there is obvious pretext for people of LNR, DNR. If you don’t recognise them then you don’t recognise Kosovo — you can’t have your cake and eat it.

Something I'm quite curious about and dont' know the answer to - Was there any pretext for LNR/DNR prior to Russia's actions in 2014? I.e. Were there any significant local movements there calling for the territories to join Russia? If so, can you link me any evidence?

This is what happens when you cannot stomach a discussion.

You are close to being an apologist for an illegal invasion of a sovereign country, denying war crimes and insulting a member who has lost family in this war.

Not sure I want to discuss that, no.

This is what happens when you cannot stomach a discussion.
No its what happens when sane people make a decision not to interact with those so lost in nationalistic pride they cant see or choose not to see what is clearly happening.
Im joining him in putting you on ignore, your comments in this thread are vile and lack humanity.

Your older posts in this thread really don't make you look better.

Did you know what orc meant before this special military operation? If you did you’re absolutely well informed. Before this it was used as derogatory term for any Russian supporting people in Ukraine. It’s not even hard to actually research this. See this. Between banning Russian and doing stupid shit like this, this what gets you into a war.
Just for the record, I fully stand with people of Donbas and Donetsk — I’m 100% behind them.
However I do not agree with Russian expansion and with Russians seizing of Crimea, nevertheless, geopolitically and strategically, I absolutely agree with it. It would be absolutely insane for Russian to give up Crimea. Should I be a bad person for saying Russia’s strategic interest are well within their rights?

Oh my God.. you’ll be defending Hitler next.

The Bucha case seems pretty clear cut from this end of things. What’s your explanation for what happened there?

So next time, without offending me, where are similarities between Russia as of todays and Nazi Germany. I’m suspect I’m going to wait for a long time.

I'm guessing I would probably have to take you by the hand and walk to Ukraine to catch a Russian committing a war crime live, before you would believe it. Even then, you would probably just claim it was staged or something.

I'm curious what you make of stuff like this? I would encourage you to take a good look at the photographs.
NY Times article
AP Article

And even if you don't believe in that, I think it is pretty irrefutable that tons of civilian property incl. homes have been destroyed by this fecked up war, and that millions and millions of Ukrainians have been forced to become refugees, throwing their life into complete turmoil from one day to the other. All because of the megalomaniacal plans of an aging madman, the people who support him and not least the soldiers that do his bidding.

I’m not brainwashed at all. You say it like Russia attacked some friendly nation.

Did Russia attack a friendly nation?

No they are invading an trying to annex a sovereign democratic country that has every reason not to be more friendly towards Russia. Like Russia trying to destroy them.

Ukraine is a sovereign state, Ukranians are a sovereign nation and they have each and every right to despise the chief rushist and his cronies. May those orcs who raped my relatives and burnt them suffer the most painful and prolonged deaths possible.

Did you miss all the reporting and images of dead civilians with torture signs?
So that’s the burden of proof then.
You know, like, war crimes have to be independently investigated.
It’s not like oh fecking Russians did it, therefore it is.

where did I insult you???

There are lots of comparisons with Putin’s regime and the Nazis. If you would bother to educate yourself you might be able to make a proper objective judgement. A book I would recommend you to read is The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

 So much new TV to watch this weekend but this thread on fire today.

Very simple. Very scientific. Photos of corpses could not have been left there from the time Russians left to the time Ukrainians got there.

Corpses bloat and turn blue/green/yellow.

People in bucha we’re relatively fresh corpses. It’s just that simple.

However, my dad, whom has fought in this conflict has said that foreign mercenaries have been executed on the spot which is a war crime so by no means I’m denying Russians of being holier than thou

Then explain this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/60981238

Let's compare shall we

Both Dictatorships

Believing their country has a right to invade other soveign democratic countries believing they have the right to take their land and assets

Deportation of ethnic Ukrainians to Russia. Why is this happening and where are they? Concentration camps?

Mass genocide of civilian population

The complete leveling of civilian homes

Rapes including of children and the elderly

Nazi Russia = Nazi Germany. It's ironic you talk about the Nazis in Ukraine when you are in fact the Nazi's yourselves.

So just to be clear, you’re arguing that Ukrainians conducted the massacre? Presumably as a kind of false flag operation?

So you're saying your dad is a war criminal? Or just that it's quite likely he's a war criminal?

Well, the Russian gains in the east were predictable. It was expected they would continue making incremental gains in the short term. The question was whether they would be able to complete the smaller of the two encirclements; it does sound really ugly for Ukrainians fighting there.

There’s been reports of a counter-offensive NE of Kherson in the south, but how significant it is I couldn’t tell you for sure. It sure looks bold on a map if the locations are correct, but who knows.
Thank you, I will have a look about that Kherson counter-attack.
Hopefully they can hold out a little longer, with that new weapons they're talking about these days, or by pulling troops out of Kharkov, or somewhere else.

Talk about drinking the Kool-Aid.

Your country is conducting an illegal war, and some of your countrymen are conducting war crimes. Both deserve every bit of criticism, scorn and name-calling coming their way (on top of the sanctions and the ass-kicking they have received on the battle-field so far).

Until the country changes it's leadership and throws away their unhealthy strong-man obsession, I think (or hope) they will rightly be a complete international pariah.

It’s not like oh fecking Russians did it, therefore it is.

Go to YouTube and search 'Bucha war crimes'. Pretty much every news agency on the planet has reports and eye witness accounts of Russian barbarity.
Or are they all paid actors in a massive conspiracy?

Look, I think recent pages have been a very interesting meltd discussion, but maybe it would be best to create another side thread to keep this one on topic. We could call it "my daddy is a war criminal<3" to create a safe space for like-minded affluent people.

Like you just posted a link to me which doesn’t explain any information.
Look at photos from Bucha and look at cadavers in like +8 heat.

Maybe Russians did execute some people I don’t know mate. I’m just saying…take a minute see what’s going on.

I’m not trying to paint Russians as savour of Europe.

Wagnеяg group is controlled by somesone So notorious that I take care in regards to actually writing the company. The PMC is controlled by someone so fecking ferocious and violent that I’ll not mention him by name. Ukrainian battalions are in absolute alignment with his view but like do you see me trying to justify their involvement? I’ll not call anyone names and I’ll not pretend to be an arm chair general.

Paxi really is a case study for how propaganda works. Prime example of cognitive dissonances at work.

Putin should not be in power. It is a dictatorship by all intents and purposes.

im getting lost at mass genocide though. Tell me where Putin has murdered people — (journalists don’t count)

That’s the thing I’m not a fan of Puitin but the indiscriminate punishment of Russians has absolutely played into Putins hands. @harms please attest to that.

Not a lawyer but can you prove it? According to the charter of UN. Russia is acting in collective pre-emotive self defence.

Quuting this before you edit it. Your first reply was to say that the article did not describe how the bodies “were fresh” but then, when realizing the article went beyond that and showed they were there before the Russian army left you pivoted to another excuse. Pathetic.
