Russian invasion of Ukraine | Fewer tweets, more discussion

I wouldn't disagree. I do think at least in his head he wants to use NATO expansion as a justification though.

It's simple propaganda rather than a justification in his head. As if Putin, of all people, really believes that an alleged verbal agreement 30 years ago on NATO in Eastern Europe is some sort of binding agreement that justifies a Russian sense of 'betrayal' which in turn justifies invading Ukraine. It's total bollocks.

For all Russian users, everyone always in your side. Stay safe and best wishes. You can contact me in pm, if you want some help especially in term of mental ( I will read and answer everyone for sure).

Best wishes and stay safe

Surely you mean the support for Ukrainians here? Russians are occupying a sovereign nation as we speak with very little resistance from within, I don’t understand? As much as they hate to hear it but every Russian has to take a blame for closing their eyes on Putin for so long because of long lasting brainwashing, fears, apathy, or whatever. I appreciate there’s a lot of good folk that wants nothing to do with this but it’s your country people that are slaughtering innocent nation and by doing nothing for so long you’re enabling the currents events.

Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia.

Smaller countries will form military alliances with nuclear superpowers, until there are just two or three massive deterring "superstates". It's surely the only way smaller countries can stay safe.

Who wants South Africa to be its bitch? We have natural resources, such as gold and diamonds. Anyone?

I'm 57 and I think I have a bit of canon fodder left in me still.

After his ramble the other day I'm wondering if he is believing his own bullshit. Or if he is losing his marbles.

Something that occurred to me and I’m probably wrong about it but given how much of Ukrainian resources is focused on Kyiv now, if things go south for Russia once they get there, won’t Putin feel the urge to use nuclear weapons on the city as that would virtually end Ukraine?

Unless he has totally gone inane he knows that starting a nuclear war would be the end of him and Russia (and the world as we know it).

Isn't Kiev too close to Belarus and Russia itself to be confident not to be hit by the fall out?

Looks like another offensive on the airport. Russians haven’t given up on an idea of an airbridge.

Ben Wallace says that Russia has already lost 450 personnel.
Putin must have been expecting heavy casualties considering Russia brought large portable crematoriums with them to mass cremate their dead.

No, Putin won't choose armageddon
what the feck

Thank god I live in a country with debatable standards. But up to the age of 60? Is that normal?
I’ve seen plenty of 60 year old men happy to pick up a gun and shoot an innocent deer / fox / bear / elephant… sure if their country was being invaded they could pick up a gun to protect their family.

scared, feck yes and I’d be the one needing diapers but under these circumstances what choice do they have

Perhaps if NATO also backs down from trying to surround and threaten Russia, conflict can be de-escalated. Russia has blood on its hands, but NATO's agenda hasn't helped at all. It is never a simple case of blaming everything on one man for a war like the media portrays.
Someone ban this idiot

May be time for Ukraine to destroy that airfield
There is a video of Russian paratroopers from that area which the Twitter account in question just posted but I’m not going to repost it here as I don’t know whether it was from yesterday or this morning.

Would be nice to also state that those people 1700 of them, have been charged with treason. Can you imagine that. People having a voice and they are charged with treason. Putin has lost his fecking mind and a person who loses his mind is a dangerous person to all

That's how you know your country is in the wrong, when protesting results in a charge of treason.

Israeli news anchors are in shock that civilians are leaving the homes with a couple of suitcases to save their lives. The lack of self awareness is mind boggling.
