Titanic evades iceberg, Jack and Rose have 10 children and live happily ever after. One of their children grows up to be a secret agent and succesfully assassinates Hitler in 1938, preventing world war 2 and slowing the war induced scientific acceleration of the atomic bomb and nuclear reactors. This prevents the Tchernobyl and the resulting PR catastrophy for the Soviet Union, resulting in the Iron Curtain never falling. Gradually this increases Russia's influence in the world as people warm to their communist and socialist ideas. This culminates in a young politician named Bernie beating George H Bush in the election and opting out of the gulf war.

How is that for far reaching consequences!
