Murray has been playing really well to be fair. He was man of the match in a couple of recent European Cup outings. Has played well when called on this 6N as well.

I don’t think he would’ve been involved had Casey not been injured though. Just filling a gap this year because lads like Murphy and Gunne are still a year or so out from being ready in Green.

Sure but if he was a better 9 wouldn’t he be starting more games than Murphy? And Murphy is promising young player but nobody would argue he should be ahead of Murray in the pecking order right now, surely?

It's exactly what I think Ireland should be doing.

It's exposing the talent young player gradually while also giving plenty of playing time to your experienced player.

Connacht are also regular giving Devine a few minutes because also ridiculously talented but not ready to start.
