Rugby Union 23/24 Discussion

Outrageous. How the feck does he do it? He’s hardly the biggest. I assume it’s just density, like tackling brick.

Is Borthwick Englands’ Ten Hag? A coaching issue?

I definitely see no reason why England couldn’t play better attacking rugby. There’s a few holes in the first 15 that always seem to get exposed, but England should have used this time after Eddie Jones’ exit to reset and play a more exciting brand of rugby.

Would be nice if the ref wasn't blind and actually kept an eye out for offsides on the kicks

Ah I don’t think Etzebeth or PTSD were offside for any of those blockdowns.

The trick is to listen to whatever Austin Healy says and then assume the opposite is true.

He has the physique of a normal backrower and the athleticism of a top center.

He beat four players before offloading for the try. Had beaten another three or four earlier in the passage. Pretty amazing.
It’s sweet for him to have Sititi as well, shares the carry burden and gives NZ multiple running threats in the forwards

Big flex this from the southern hemisphere….theyll have had an excellent aggregate tour if NZ win today

What a game, absolute carnage. The bench will be so important at this fever pitch

Wow. NZ dismantling the French scrum was not in this script. Class from Roigard as well

I think that’s the ticket for France now.

I’m not convinced by Ramos at 10, I don’t think he can defend there and can’t bring the backline into play like Ntamack and Jalibert.

They should just play a 9 man game off DuPont, the Kiwis have struggled with it and it’s an easy option compared to anything expansive

Ramos is a better 10 than Jalibert, it's his most likely position for Toulouse.

The forwards did really well in that passage. Might as well go for that for a while.

Ramos isn’t a 10 mate. He’s awful defensively and I don’t see his running threat or playmaking ahead of the other two

And yet that's where he was formed and where he mainly plays for Toulouse. Now it's totally possible that their staff has no clue about Rugby.

Also Jalibert can't defend to save his life and can't kick to save his life. He is extremely good when it comes to running with the ball but he is a subpar game manager which is why UBB can't do anything whenever meaningful games come.

Jalibert can’t defend? He’s a miles better defender than Ramos ffs

Im surprised you’re happy with the idea of Ramos at 10, he’s a quality 15 but he’s wanting at 10. Toulouse form really doesn’t qualify him as he’s surrounded by international (if not better) quality.

France will win feck all with him playing predominantly at 10, yes you can quote me and yes, I’ll eat my hat if proved otherwise

Ireland could run in 3 tries and win by 20….but even then I’d still be very impressed by Argentina.

I expected them to get beaten beforehand , after the first 10 minutes I thought they’d get immolated. But they’ve stepped up and made this a fight to the finish
Yeah, having watched their participation and ascension in the rugby championships year on year, they’re an impressive outfit.

Jallibert is probably the worst defender out of all international french players and by some distance.

I really want to cheer for Mckenzie and Ratima.
