You can take 90% of french referees and at least 10 from all other nations. Adamson, Berry, Gardner, rasivhenge Anselmi and I have to mention Wayne Barnes(great for anything french but not so great for the rest of the world).

And I'm sure that any of you can name referees that I haven't listed depending on the league you follow the most.
I think Barnes is good … a few years back, I thought he was cold/pedantic but last 2-3 years, no issues. World ref of the year recently?

I'm reading an article saying there's a debate whether Sexton or Carbery should start against Italy. Irish rugby is insane sometimes. Sexton should be nowhere near it. I'd start Carty with Carbery on the bench. Our next world cup is already doomed.

no idea why any one would start him against italy. sexton will still be starting for ireland when he’s spending all his spare time doing laps of a woodies and muttering to himself. he’s closer to being a sentient concussion than a man nowadays.

These are the mysteries of the changes in brain chemistry that occur when you become Ireland manager.

@unchanged_lineup can Hanson play 14? Him and Lowe could be devastating attacking wise especially if given freedom to be close to each other at times. Although be harsh on Conway, who I really like.

I’d be calling up one of the young Munster lads to be on the bench and not Harry Byrne, for me this is a game to try things out call up youngsters and still put 40 past them

Sexton definitely shouldn't be anywhere near it but that was Carberry's first six nations start. He needs the minutes.

Same old same old really. It is, once again, very depressing.
It’s just as hard to get out of the squad as it is to get into it, honestly I don’t see the point in them keeping Carty part of the squad when they have no intention of playing him it’s not fair on him, his spot could go to Healy, Crowley or Harry, also for the bigger games what’s the point in keeping Casey his best chance of getting serious game time is when Murray is away, knowing the Irish team they will bring him on for the last 2 mins of the Italian game along with Coombes.

it shouldn’t just be Casey as the 3 the whole time there is a few young scrum half’s out there that could get the squad experience, like the kid up north, you can probably name a few young players out west that should at least get the squad training experience.

Former Auckland Blues and All Blacks winger Joeli Vidiri has passed away at the age of 48.

He should have taken that, but the pass was way too early there for me. A bit of composure was needed.

It was a poor opening 15-20 mins from us and I was tempted to switch over to the PS5 as felt this was going to get really ugly. That 2nd French try was a thing of beauty and the try of the tournament so far for me. Superb try! Great response to get back into the game and really impressed with the debutant Rory Darge. Annoyed to concede that try right on half time.

That Hogg knock on brought back memories of Dublin 2020 wheh he knocked it forward on the try line :wenger: . Important not to dwell on it and feel sorry for ourselves about it. Focus now and make up for it in the 2nd half.

Great game to watch so far.

Is it me or the way France play, looks more and more like the Crusaders/All Blacks?

I was watching the Crusaders the other day and the same thought came to mind.

Throw the ball out left, walks in.

Ref, swallow your whistle

It says everything you need to know about this clown of a ref that today is actually the best I've ever seen him.

The fact he wasn't struck off as a ref after the Harlequins - Castres debacle this year is an embarrassment to the game.

How can they play like that when miles behind but be so dull/cautious before? Annoying.

(and the “no hands” call (in every game not just this one) is silly now and rules need tightening.. every team does one quick illegal reach purely to slow the opponent down and know ref will give them one, maybe two goes)
fecking infuriating. 2 tries in about 5 minutes when they actually try.

It wouldn't be so bad if he blew for EVERYTHING, all the time.

But he's blowing for random petty shit and letting clear stuff go.

He's fecking amateurish.
