First the submarines and then that?

We will just have to jail mister Gardner and throw Australia's ambassador out of the country.

I was convinced that Ireland would win it after the couple of tries in 5 minutes.:nervous:

Think kicking could be justified with a 5 point margin but with a 6 point gap it’s a mind boggling decision

great game of rugby. if ireland and france both turn in performances like that against england then i worry england will only be able to rack up 50 or 60 points.

But they are less vague and open to interpretation no?

Like are there not lots of very specific rules?

Not really, they are even more open to interpretation, just take the laws around rucks or who commits a foul on a scrum. The main difference between Football and Rugby is that the IRB gives instructions almost every year on how ideal interpretations changes and Rugby fans have I believe a better understanding the laws and also accept mistakes.

I will give you an example during this game on a few occasions players were offside on kicks, the ref didn't say anything and on a few occasions for both teams tackled players kept the ball on the ground which is a penalty and it wasn't even subtle since both teams moved entire rucks and the ball was glued to the hands of the tackled player.

OK, I don't know enough to do anything but just believe you. I'm not even 100% on offside.

In the entire tournament?

we’re trying the pick 8 utility backs tactic that no one else in world rugby has realised is a sure fire way to win games with no one really knowing what they’re doing.

france and ireland look in a different league to everyone else.

France bought the World Cup, Rugby and corruption aren't really strangers.

Maybe off the field - but the reffing seems to be on the level.

Show me any administration where money and power is involved where corruption isnt an issue and I will be surprised

There are many terrible refs in rugby, mainly french but still they are terrible.

Thought Berry had a good game today. It’s difficult as I think SH and NH refs tend to ref the game differently, so players really have to adjust their games.

Adamson is genuinely the worst and he’s somehow got England Wales this year…..it promises to be such a shitfest, I’ll be watching from behind the sofa

Depends on how you define “many”.

If more than three, then yes. If more than 10-20%, no.

Football on the other hand (especially in the PL) has a huge % of shit refs. They cover so many bases… some are weak, some are (unconsciously) biased, some like to grandstand, some are petty, some are out of shape, some never trust their own judgement when VAR says “look at this”, some hate giving cards, some throw cards around like confetti, etc.

You can take 90% of french referees and at least 10 from all other nations. Adamson, Berry, Gardner, rasivhenge Anselmi and I have to mention Wayne Barnes(great for anything french but not so great for the rest of the world).

And I'm sure that any of you can name referees that I haven't listed depending on the league you follow the most.
