Rugby League Super League

Did you go?

Jesus wept, worst I've felt after leaving a game so far this season. They were trying and getting nowhere which in some ways seems worse than them not trying and getting nowhere. Much improvement needed before Monday.
Thought King had a good game though, apart from that one miscommunication between him and Hicks.

Nah I didn't fancy going out in that weather, glad I didn't now, I'm in Warrington all weekend so will go to the monday game.

We really could have done with 4 points this weekend, I thought we'd at least beat Salford. Castleford are looking half decent as well this year so should be a much tougher game.

So you think it's time to accept that we are just shit? :(

Marching, we know just how tricky Salford can be, don't worry about it :wenger:

Was another good day to be a Saints fan today! Hopefully Cats will complete it by beating Wigan. Leeds, Bradford, Warrington and hopefully Wigan all beaten today - just shows how strong the league is this year with Celtic seemingly the only guaranteed 2 points!

1 St Helens 16
2 Huddersfield 14
3 Leeds 12
4 Wakefield 12
5 Castleford 12
6 Hull KR 11
7 Harlequins RL 10
8 Hull 10
9 Wigan 6
10 Salford 6
11 Bradford 5
12 Catalans Dragons 4
13 Warrington 4
14 Celtic Crusaders 0

A strange looking table i'd say!

It's all gone a bit quiet here hasn't it :D

I think the main contributors to this thread are Wigan, Leeds and Warrington fans.

I wonder if the lack of action in this thread is down to those 3 teams mentioned all losing both their easter games!

:D:lol::D:lol:

Anyone catch the Bradford v Warrington game tonight? Cracking game on Warringtons part. Bradford are having an awful season so far.

Oh and :lol::lol: @ Hull FC.

What a night :D

There weren't many of us there but a fine atmosphere and well worth the trip over the Pennines tonight. We waved our flags like there was no tomorrow

Hopefully they'll keep playing like that, we'll need every bit of it against Huddersfield next week.

But yeah, Bradford are utter shit at the moment.

I completely forgot we we're playing, saw the score when I got in this morning. Unbelievable after Monday's performance, so was it more of a case of Bradford being shit than us playing well?

By the way, how good is Ainscough doing for us? Really impressed with him.

Just seen this.

Wigan cnut > Scouse, bin dipping, murdering, bastard

You're on the verge of being my first ever person to be placed on ignore - I'm a lot of things but scouse most certainly isn't one of them!

Was a good result for us Saints, A nice little gap now between us and everyone else. We hammered Cas which wasn't really much of a surprise, Tony Puletua though is looking like an outstanding player this year 4 tries yesterday and another all round top preformance from the big front rower. We've got teh Bulls on Friday and if they perform anything like they did against Warrington then we'll have a field day against them!

I suppose you did OK on Sunday.

Yeah wasn't too bad - I was surprised that your game was so one sided to be honest. With your recent form I kind of expected another loss for your lot.

Anybody who doesn't follow Saints closely won't know it but we've been brilliant this year but at the same time we've given more kids debuts than in any other season. It's good to see we've got some good youngsters coming through to take the mantle from some of the more experienced lot when they retire. Sean Long for example doesn't have long left at this level, but ready and waitin to take his place is Kyle Eastmond who is going to be a star!

It's a good time to be a Saints fan right now!

My comment was in fact made with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek...from the little I have seen and read about your games so far this season you have been very good and, as you say, if that can be achieved along with blooding youngsters the future must be bright.

Let's hope it's not too bright ;)

It's already been a great weekend and Warrington don't play until Sunday :D

Well Leeds got beat too which is a saving grace.

As for us we went in too complacent and paid th eprice - the 10 mins before the break didn't help either when we scored 26 points, just added to the players thoughts that it was an easy 2 points.

Sometimes you need bringing back down a peg or two!

I let out a cheer when I heard Saints had lost and came crashing down to earth 5 mins later when I heard that we'd lost too.

Cock.

Harlequins??!! I think there has been some fixing going on.

Did anyone head up to Murrayfield? Looked like a good crack, some decent matches as well.

Starting to worry a bit about Warrington, we are definitely looking miles better than we were a few weeks ago but will need to go on a bit of a winning streak now to get up into the play-offs.

Played Catalan today, 42-8 we won. Which is an odd scoreline because it makes it seem like the game was easier than it was!

Gateshead v St Helens, Quarter Final, 18:00

Come on Gateshead!!....I might get myself down the road to watch this one.

Odd league season so far which is certainly making it more open and interesting.

Good win yesterday for Warrington.

And Bradford losing to Celtic today  keeps us in tenth, the recovery is on :D
