Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

Amazing how a game changes when you have attackers on the pitch.
Hopefully this is safety first for this season until he gets the options he needs.

Best we've played under him tonight albeit against a poor opponent, but still some impressive attacking moves.

We are screaming for a good striker.
It's not even funny anymore.

We can and we will play some awesome football under Amorim.

Shite opponent but it's obvious that we are becoming more stable team from the back and in posession at least.

Four wins in five after we knocked out Arsenal. Not awful.

Was a good performance, especially in the second half, but can't be ignored that the tempo is a lot lower in the Europa League. Hope we can replicate in the PL.

Love him. Even after a win Ten Hag would find a way to piss me off in his press conference

Fecking Brighton spoiling the party. Really hope we stuff them in the near future.

Finally put Mainoo in the cam and he played well there. This was the first decent match I'd say where we dominated the match and looked decent defensively and offensively. Still have to take the opposition into account who were poor, hopefully can go on a little run.

That was our best performance under Amorim. Or most complete at least, against a really poor side.

Amad as a wing back, Mainoo as a 10 and Bruno playing a deeper role really opened some stuff up, and I think that's a combination that is worth exploring. Garnacho also showed that he can play in this system.

Back to the more promising signs there was at the start now after that difficult spell we went through. Still going to have difficult moments against better teams but hopefully starting to string some results together now.

He''s still trying to figure out how players fit into his system, and I loved the idea of swapping of Bruno and Mainoo tonight. Think it suits them best.

About half the PL is made up of shite opponents. We have to eventually get back to the days where dropping points against the bottom third of the table is actually considered an upset.

Under ETH, tonight's game would have been like a game of basketball, so I'm just happy to be seeing control against mediocre opposition at least.

Playing with 5 defenders against this team ! Hope Amorim realises that : Dalot , Onana and Bruno aren’t good enough , we going nowhere with those players .
Bruno was one of most creative players, why you lumping him with those two?

Finished 3rd in Europa league phase and only unbeaten team in the competition a lot better than expected after drawing the three opening games. Credit where it's due to Ruben for that.

System looked completely more dynamic with Amad and Garnacho, and the one touch passing was really well done. Martinez was literally the only player creating anything first half and everything was so slow but the subs changed everything.

You can see glimpses of what this system could be like with the right players.

There isn't, but either way the media are going to run stories.

Of course, but he shouldn't be feeding them stories.

I think he's come in, he's seen how some of these guys behave and he knows they have been let away with it for too long. He's letting them and everyone else know, he won't stand for it. If he has to do that publicly, then so be it.

Wouldn't the players already know though? I doubt they'd need public statements to know Amroim isn't happy with Rashford's training.

I still don't see how anything positive will come from these type of public comments.

Usually these things end up with the coach or manager being sacked because the players are worth more to the club. But when have we ever seen a manager go into a new club and publicly call out a local player and the highest earner for lack of application?

Ten Hag did similar with Sancho who's one of our biggest earners, publicly commenting on his poor performaces in training.

When I saw the lineup I felt more confident than usually. Mazraoui at RCB instead of wingback position, Dalot on right WB (obviously later scored as a left wingback), Mainoo in number 10 position. Even Malacia at LWB as left-footed player felt right though he obviously got a yellow card and gave away the ball in dangerous area during the game.

Managing the players well, nice rotation tonight and would of learned a few new things from what he saw.

Although after mentioning it sooo many times, i think he was most pleased with not having to play 2 extra games in the knockout round.

The more time he has to train at Carrington the more happy he looks.

That 2nd half showing was probably the most gung-ho United I've seen from Amorim.
We had numerous players getting into the area. Was refreshing to see.

There was a period in 2nd half, with Eriksen and Bruno in midfield pair. I thought it was the most threatening period of our game.

Just got me thinking, if we have two playmakers in CM that also can defend, the likes of Caicedo and obviously Rodri, that would be the ideal CM pair for Amorim's.
