Round of 16 | Switzerland vs Italy | Germany vs Denmark

Either it's not a rule anymore or they just don't enforce it. It's complete bullshit. As if keepers aren't at enough of a disadvantage anyway.

Lewandowski completely stopped twice in his pen run up against France, gets saved, and gets to retake it because the keeper was 1mm off his line. So he completely stops three times on the second attempt and scores. No issue, apparently.

If your feet stop but you still lean forward while you stop I can see that being allowed - - a douchey approach to pens but fine — but if you come to a complete stop the pen needs to be retaken if you score.

Germany look truly bad. They aren't winning the tournament like that.

Need Wirtz on the pitch.

I love how people on here shit on Oliver because they are biased while they at the same time have no idea about the rules.

Pressure of the home country might be affecting Oliver or something. Every decision goes in Germany their favor

You mean like when he annulled the goal and ignored Sane getting tripped when he was through for a tap in on an empty goal?

Offside is a factual call, the penalty is just the UEFA line, we see calls like that in the CL all the time, there is little leeway for defenders.

It was just bad luck for the Danse to get two such calls in such quick succession.

The handball rules are so fecking dumb. Less than a meter away and a cross and they want players to have their hands behind their back at all times. Handball was never meant to be called like that before VAR…

This shit is ruining so many games…

I get dumbass conspiracy thoughts thinking that the handball interpretation is an attempt to up the individual goal totals as football saw how much engagement the Ronaldo/Messi stats created from casuals.

Football should introduce the equivalent of the field hockey corner for these handballs. Awarding a hand ball like that with a penalty is like sending someone to jail for 50 years for smoking pot.

Why’d you shoot right at the keeper ffs. Seeing it all the time at this Euros

People just hate Oliver. All his major decisions have been correct.
