Is someone going to make his compilation of today's game? Please post it here if you see it somewhere else.

I don't remember when I saw a decline like that. He looks like he doesn't know how to play the game anymore.

Shame that his last years as a footballer has become such an ugly sight. He really should've retired a year or two back and his career at united would've been viewed in a nicer light. The player that he is now.. I'm sure he knows how shit he is. Disgusting to watch.

Doubtful or else he would have done what's best for the team and dropped the captaincy.

For the longest time I kept telling myself he can't be as bad some claim he is. But when we face a lower league team and have a manager who wants to implement a more attacking style of play, you start to wonder what Rooney offers. Even his finishing has become dreadful, let alone his passing, his pace or his first touch. He was arguably the worst player on the pitch tonight and I say that with great regret. This game has really shown just how finished he is.

Awful in the first half, completely invisible in the second.

Phil Neville will probably call it a masterclass.

My anger has turned into pity. I mean. He is so finished it's not even funny anymore. I feel actually sorry for him. His body just isnt responding anymore.

That's a typical Rooney performance of the last 3 years. He's a league 1/league 2 level player now.

The funniest thing is, a #10 defines a team. That player needs to turn a man, dribble past a holding player / CDM so the back four is exposed then the wingers pull off the fullback.

Rooney just takes a heavy touch, the balls gone, or he passes it 3 yards, falls over himself generally just falls apart.

The only thing I can guess at this point is a freaky friday type situation of a body swap, Kai Rooney has body swapped with Wayne Rooney and this is what we're seeing out on the pitch right now.

After the silent domination, Rooney presents "The Impalpable domination".

Next conspiracy theory: he must have guaranteed XXX mins of play time in his contract and mourinho wants to use it asap.

Which one?!

I dont get why only now hes getting slated so much, he has been dogshite the last 3 years, but as soon as the media turns on him, then the rest of the caf does. Can no one form their own opinions these days?

If anyone disagrees with this just get them to watch tonights game, kind of feel watching him play.

Don't think anyone questions it anymore. Turned into a joke now. I think his backers have finally accepted they were wrong.

Silent domination from a few of us to be fair. We were told to shut up and understand Rooney wasn't the problem but there you go.

It's not as rapid a decline as you'd think. Honestly he has generally been playing like this for at least 4 years now.

It seems to me like it has been gradual. But this year he has hit rock bottom. And he's only what, 31? Shocking.

There was a period literally the same as this last season, and I'm pretty sure the caf was the same as well. He goes in cycles of being shit, unbelievably shit, average and bagging a goal then back to shit. Then he'll get an injury around Christmas.

The rest of the team should stop passing the ball to him. Seriously, just let him shamble around the pitch without touching the ball once and we'll do better.

Mourinho should even instruct them to do this. When does Rooney's contract run out again?
