He wouldn't get to this Northampton side.

Don't know much about dressng room "dynamics" of top clubs but most of our guys are reconized internationals. Are they really scared to critisize English (ex) darling? They see what a liability he has been since forever....

I'd rather play Bebe than him.

Rooney has been finished for years now but because the fans are so obsessed with the cult of personality they couldn't open their eyes. Not until they are being poked out. There is no place for romanticism in anything competitive.

Yeah, that's it...

@SirAF yeah I was thinking that too. The fact that he still looks just as abysmal is some indictment.

Phil Neville needs a good hard slap. One of those ones your dhadhi gives you back in Pakistan with the back of the hand.

Awful as usual but the most noticeable thing is how much he struggles to move, if he comes deep or moves slightly wide then he can't move again and get into position as the striker, his main role in this team today.

"He's been just OK" - Phil Neville.

That's as close to scathing criticism a Neville is ever going to get with Rooney.

I hope this ends him being a constant starter.

Surely Mourinho can't be watching this and think he's still got it.

I think this was Jose last throw of the dice with Rooney after this none performance he has to be dropped. I think him playing this game gives Jose the excuse not to play v leicester and if we go on and perform well without him all is good.

Tight chamaat maro salay ko.

Changing the topic to carrick because he didn't really have anything to defend Rooney with :wenger:

Feel sorry for him. Mou gas given him the rope to hang himself and he is doing it.

Exactly, first let him prove he's crap anywhere else in the pitch, then let him prove he's done as a striker aswell, after that drop him and not feel he has to justify it to anyone, sad it's costs us points by doing it though.

I think he has come to the stage where he is now making noises when he sits down and gets up again; you know, like old people.

He's a coward. He drops deep because he doesn't want pressure. He will drop deep even if he knows it's detrimental to he team.
If you hadn't watched hi, before, you'd say he's playing this shite on purpose.

I almost hate the sight of him.
I'm never personal about players, good or bad but this is ridiculous.
How is he still at the club?

Not doing himself any favours having a laugh and a joke with the cnut who should have been sent off whilst the other players are sticking up for Memphis.
