Transfers probably played a part. He was actually already overly optimistic about where we would be next season. Said we needed to give ETH time then concluded the same interview talking about challenging for trophies next season. Guy is operating on an unrealistic schedule. We're in a rebuild, we're not challenging jack next season. With the two Chelsea sides as exceptions every other side has had a player score more than 20 goals. And with the exception of them and bayern 2013 every other title winning side has had a player score more than 40 goals.

You've missed the point. Our team was awful last year because it was only set up for Ronaldo to score. He was and is an oppressive and selfish figure on a football field.
