As I said, he should take 1 week fine or getting dropped on bench for 1 match for that, for leaving early at 89 mins instead of 92. No need to be overly dramatic on that.
It should be his last game for the club, you can see out the final few minutes and walk off and voice your opinion in the changing room. He made a circus show out if it intentionally to detract attention away from the performance this evening and make it about himself.

This was one of our best performances for quite some time and it didnt involve him. Dont get me wrong im sure he was sitting thinking that the chances Rashford had he would have scored a couple of them, but the lack of intensity in pressing and closing down defenders would have resulted in a different team performance tonight. We pressed from the front fantastically well, even with Sancho having a poor game we still managed to control the game and create a lot of chances.

We hadn't used all subs, so he was still on duty to eventually come on, it actually is his bloody job to sit there (for which he collects roughly 400k each friday).

Not showing up to work is one thing, as he did that already in pre-season, but to leave like that, all cameras on him, is just a huge 'feck off' to the team and ten Hag especially.
It's not like he did that and didn't think too much about the outcome, he did it only for the reactions.
He is testing if he's still bigger than the club, and I hope he fails that test badly.

Hope we saw the last minutes this bellend ever played for the club.
Yep fully agree on everything you said. My feelings too.

Ronaldo is gonna Ronaldo, he is self centered spoilt brat, we all know that, it is no surprise that he would behave like that.

And I am happy that Ten Hag is not pandering to him, long it may continue.

A lot of disrespect for Ronaldo on here. He deserves better than that. Yes he should leave and not upto it anymore, but some of the stuff on here is out of order.

Yeh there is a need, because it's something you simply don't do as a professional footballer. It's a very basic thing, even when your on the bench you stay until full time. And all the subs hadn't been used, so he could have very easily been needed to be brought on in stoppage time, for an injury, or tactically etc.

I shouldn't be surprised looking at your username, wouldn't surprise me if your reaction was totally different if it was another United player that had done that.
Yes on principle this is correct, hence some disciplinary action is required. But in reality even if we are going to bring him on at stoppage time, it’s will only be on time wasting purpose as there only less than few mins left on game.

No need to call out names and make a big meal out of this.

Yeh it's really not. He's been unbelievably disrespectful and people are rightfully calling him on it.

How does a grown ass man behave like that?

I'm a similar age to Ronaldo and the thought of leaving the bench and taking the long walk down to the tunnel because I'm having a strop in front of 70,000 people would be so embarrassing to me.

I get he's frustrated, but handle it like an adult and speak to the manager. He's supposed to be the elder statesman in our team, the one that is setting the example for everyone else. Grow up.

We know you called supporting Ronaldo like a religion to you, which is why discussing him might be difficult to you. But even if the manager decides to bring him on towards the end, that's the manager's decision, and Ronaldo has to be professional enough to do with the manager asks. Not storm off the pitch like a spoilt child to try to detract from the incredible performance the team put on with him on the bench.

We'll have to agree to disagree then, because it is a big deal when your meant to be a professional footballer.

Yep exactly, spot on.

Unless Ronaldo had a medical emergency — a serious dump ready to explode — his action was out of order, but I hope it can be resolved quietly between the manager and the player. We don’t need this drama played out in the public.

He's just witnessed a great team game , He can't handle the reality alot of people already know He won't agree but deep down he knows its time .

Sure it’s unprofessional, hence some disciplinary action is required, as I’ve repeated many times already.

But just some fans reacting like a drama queen under this thread is another thing.

Nope. None of it is out of order. Ronaldo is a cnut. Its laughable that you dare mention respect considering Ronaldo has disrespected the club numerous times over his career. Did I mention he's a cnut?

It’s unprofessional, but not to the extent of “extremely unprofessional” as some stated here. It’s over the top and unnecessary reaction. Sometimes people like to react like a drama queen onto everything.

Interesting choice of words, because it was him who reacted like a drama queen at the end of the game. Hence, he's getting criticized. You could argue that your getting bent out of shape because he's getting criticized can be described as acting like a drama queen.

I don't think it's that big of a deal.
I get the impression, Ronaldo isn't actually that annoyed but for his image he has to be seen being annoyed.
He sadly isn't up to PL standard anymore so he'll be leaving sooner than later.

Walk out of your job today without telling anyone. When your boss makes a big deal about it just tell him it's OK, it's not "extremely unprofessional", it's only a bit unprofessional. As you're saying it maybe you'll realise how daft it sounds in a context outside of defending your hero

If he told Ten Hag before he did that it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world. But he didnt.

A player who puts himself first walking off early against the backdrop of the best team performance in a couple of years

what a twat

How difficult could it be to call his agent in on a Monday morning to discuss mutual agreements on terminating his remaining contract?

He’s not helping himself is he. It seems quite clear that the reason he didn’t leave is because no one wanted him apart from some Saudi team he didn’t want to play for.

Having a strop might have worked on Ole who wanted to be mates with everyone but ETH strikes me as a man who will simply freeze him out. In the past Ronaldo was bigger than the manager and you feared the squad would side with him, but that’s not the case here. Ronaldo will end up isolating himself because they respect and trust the manager and on top of that Ronaldo isn’t delivering this season.

We need to try and ship him out again in January but I fear his situation won’t have changed. No one wants to buy a 38 year old on those wages, even more so now when his form has deserted him.

Contrary to Ronaldo's ego you have Benzema when winning BDO: "This makes me really proud, all the work I did, I never gave up," he says.
"I had two role models in my life, Zidane and Ronaldo as well. I always had this dream in my mind that everything's possible. There was a difficult period where I wasn't in the French team but I worked hard and never gave up, kept my head down and enjoyed playing football.
"I'm really proud of my journey here, it wasn't easy, it was difficult, for me and my family. To be here today, the first time for me. I am just really, really happy, thanks to my teammates, with Real Madrid and the national team."

Hard to imagine he'll willingly kiss goodbye to several million. Seemed like his issues with engineering a move out of here was because no one would pick him up, undoubtedly in part due to his massive wages.

His fanboys and wannabe lovers are quickly running out of excuses for his behaviour, pathetic doesn't even start to cover his overall demeanor.

Some of the stuff reads like a parody. But then again, we have some of them on here call supporting him "a religion" to them, so what do you expect? Grown men who see him as a deity.
I think it's all amusing reading that.

He is being disrespectful towards the club that made him and his own legacy

Fans shouldn't not act like drama queen.

Player on half a million a week can act like drama queen.

You are without a shadow of a doubt the most fascinating poster on here since that Spurs fan who's plane got lost in India.

I applaud your blind faith, if Ronaldo is some sort of God, I hope you're rewarded in Paradise.

Maybe if it were a one-off it wouldn't be extremely unprofessional but he has been doing this sort of stuff since that game in pre-season when he left the stadium after half-time.

The truth hurts. He couldn’t take the world getting to see how much better we are without him.

You maybe right that some comments are offensive, but he really deserves every criticism.

The club has a fantastic chance to choose path right here. Support the sulking superstar diva because he is still a big draw, and let him off with a minor slap on the wrist, or support the players and staff that actually enjoy being here and are proud to wear the shirt. The choice should be supereasy, but not sure i trust the businessmen up top at our club..

This is only a distraction if you treat it as such. I have devoted most of my thoughts towards the excellent team performance.

Didn't Ronaldo pull this stunt in the 08-09 season?

I don't know why he can't realize he has an opportunity to be an elder statesman, being an example to the younger players, upholding standards of conduct in training and on the pitch and on the bench.

Also, there's no need for the club to inflate this incident. He should be fined/disciplined, and otherwise the club should focus on the next game and the players who have bought into ETH's methods.

ten hag should make him shave his head in front of the whole squad as punishment. i’m not sure whether i mean ronaldo shaving ten hag’s head or ronaldo shaving his own head. either way ten hag, ross kemp and greg wallace from masterchef will be there, chanting “one of us, one of us,” in unison. quietly at first but building to a crescendo whilst the players away from side to side, muttering all kinds of mumbo jumbo.

Can you remember when Ronaldo gave that interview about mentality?

A lot of disrespect for Ronaldo on here. He deserves better than that. Yes he should leave and not upto it anymore, but some of the stuff on here is out of order.
It's tame compared to the disrespect Ronaldo has shown to the club - the club which pays him several hundred thousand pounds a week. People are pissed off at the way he's carrying himself in a United shirt and rightly so. That sort of behaviour shouldn't be tolerated here.

You would have hoped the fact that zero decent clubs wanted him in the summer, the lack of a pre season at his age and the performance of the team would help stop this type of behaviour.

Was desperate for him to go in the summer but I have the confidence in ETH to deal with it so there is only going to be one winner.

Looking forward to seeing how he performs in his next game, which will be the EL game with Sheriff.
