You really know how to pick your heroes, what a legend, bloody prick cnut, those threads before and after he joined looking better and better with each passing day.

Hope he never plays for this club again. I'd rather stick McTominay upfront than give this attention seeking prick any more minutes

He is a good squad player and that’s all he is now
We all knew he was never going to be happy on the bench
This ain’t going to end well
Can only speculate. But previously we’ve seen him vocally cheering the team on and celebrating our goals when he’s on the bench. Yet today when we have the best match, play the best football that we’ve played in years and the manager plays the closest to his system that we’ve seen so far, he storms off.

I think it’s because watching today he realised there’s nothing he can offer this team to improve it and the team is better as a unit without him starting. That must hurt and it’s probably the moment he realised his time at the top is over.

Doesn’t justify what he did, ideally if he reflects he’ll think ok “I can be a sub and offer my support in other ways”

feck C.Ronaldo and if you’re down with him then feck you too.

He's lost the plot. Shame but oh well. Most important thing is we keep putting in performances like that. Leave the drama behind.

ETH will probably say he needed the toilet and that will be that. Whether it's true or not I am sure everyone will speculate but ETH has proven himself to be pretty good at handling things.

Don't see any need to make it a bigger issue really. Focus on the fantastic performance from the players on the pitch.

At some point, I bet the Ronaldo fanbois will be claiming that he is being forced out of the club. A case of constructive dismissal.

That's why you guys need to take the Viking Cyborg off of Citeh when you get the chance  :nervous:

That attack would be pure filth if Rodrygo keeps developing the way he is. Vinicius is already one of the best wingers in the world
Looking at a combination of our our game against Elche today (we won 3-0), Ronaldo's behavior and Real Madrid's ability to make baffling signings, it makes me worried about life after Benz-Kroos-Modric, all of whom will be leaving within a year of each other. I'm afraid our new signings might damage the atmosphere at the club. You look at our game against Elche today:
  • Vini: Has not scored in a while but a lot of his runs down the flank have allowed others to score. He must be so frustrated at getting right next to goal but then having to cut back the ball to others (because it is the right decision). Yet he has no ego in passing the ball to others or celebrating other teammates' goals. He is happy in his teammates' success, even if there is no personal gain (such as more support for becoming a Brazil starter based on his goals).
  • Benzema: He is extremely comfortable with himself, his achievements and has no desire to be the 'main-man' every time. He is happy to put Vini/Rod/others in scoring positions. He (a bonafide superstar) is happy playing second fiddle to Vini/Rod/others during a helluve a lotta passages of play. All in all, he is happy to be a part of something greater.
  • Kroos: He played as a DM today and was focused on short safe passes instead of Hollywood passes that he gets to do. Now this is a WC-winner, multiple CL winner who was huffing back to get into defense when required and actually had 2-3 important interceptions. He doesn't complain, he just does it to the best of his abilities and again is happy to be part of something greater.
  • All our players (except Hazard) are like this - even slightly disgruntled ones like Asensio, Lunin, Mariano.
If we sign Mbappe/Haaland/superstar then I'm afraid this team spirit might collapse. Hope we rate 'attitude' as highly as 'passing ability' when we rate potential targets.

Sometimes I forget the guy is 37. He's such a child. Guy is shredding his United legacy this season.

Makes me appreciate how King Eric retired when he did.

They're claiming that he's been professional while Ten Hag is disrespecting him for making him warm up pre-match without bringing him on and bringing on the likes of Elanga

They also seem to be under the impression that we're holding him hostage when the reality is that no one in Europe wanted him despite his agent desperately trying to whore him out

I remember a game against City near the end of 08-09. It also ended 2-0. Both Ronaldo and Tevez threw massive strops after being subbed off (for valid reasons), and it became clear that they're leaving, and there was no obvious replacement for either. The team's future was suddenly uncertain.

This time, if he does leave, it will be a relief.

Mbappe for sure will damage the team spirit. For someone who has achieved as little (besides individual honours) as he has, his ego is uncontrollable.

Haaland, under Pep's tutelage of the team first will be more manageable -- unless Pep sells him or doesn't make a huge effort to keep him, then you know Haaland has become an uncontrollable egoist.

None of you get it: Ronaldo left early cuz he had to take a dump and needed to get to the changing room toilets ahead of Rashford, who is as error prone with hitting the target there as he is on the pitch.

That’s abit unprofessional to be fair, but people are making a big meal out of that, which is unnecessary. If he has no good reason for that, maybe 1 week fine or 1 match ban would be appropriate.

a bit? it's extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't be surprised if ETH dropped him for good

he probably wouldn't mind the excuse because he's borderline useless anyway

The only thing I kept thinking about when heeft early was, what impact this would have on his son, Cristiano Jr.

He's trying to make a name for himself in the game and needs to show the upmost professionalism. But then you have his father, no doubt his biggest idol, behave the way he does. He must look at him and thinks it's fine to act like a di*k.

CR7 needs to realise his actions have a wider impact. It is no longer just about him.

Bellend. Go join Accrington Stanley or some other club that will have you.

What’s that? Nobody wants you? Well see that contract you signed-it says you have to stay with us (whilst paid extortionate amounts of money) until it runs out.

Or maybe he needs a hug or kind word, this cannot be his fault, he would never do this on purpose, our sweet portugese princess.

He’s a tit. Make it to the end of November and feck him off in January.

We must invest in a forward when this happens. Back the manager.

As I said, he should take 1 week fine or getting dropped on bench for 1 match for that, for leaving early at 89 mins instead of 92. No need to be overly dramatic on that.

Time to call him in and call it quits

I assume that if he's a free agent he can find his own gig

No excuse for that. I like the way ETH is handling the situation, he’s shown strong handed management.

I didn’t watch the game and was wondering why this was class a big deal assuming he was subbed off with like 5 minutes to go and then walked down the tunnel.

Turns out he didn’t even fecking play, what a cnuty thing to do.

I dont like Madrid but you guys have been so smart about transfers and building the team in recent years its remarkable. Possibly signing Mbappe would mean old way of doing things in just adding superstars and not caring about team spirit which is fantastic at the moment there. Guy like Mbappe would destroy all things good in no time.

That's what ETH sould definitely do.

We hadn't used all subs, so he was still on duty to eventually come on, it actually is his bloody job to sit there (for which he collects roughly 400k each friday).

Not showing up to work is one thing, as he did that already in pre-season, but to leave like that, all cameras on him, is just a huge 'feck off' to the team and ten Hag especially.
It's not like he did that and didn't think too much about the outcome, he did it only for the reactions.
He is testing if he's still bigger than the club, and I hope he fails that test badly.

Hope we saw the last minutes this bellend ever played for the club.

Yeh there is a need, because it's something you simply don't do as a professional footballer. It's a very basic thing, even when your on the bench you stay until full time. And all the subs hadn't been used, so he could have very easily been needed to be brought on in stoppage time, for an injury, or tactically etc.

I shouldn't be surprised looking at your username, wouldn't surprise me if your reaction was totally different if it was another United player that had done that.
