Everton will never sell for £40m. £60m in the summer if we get champions league is an option though, providing he keeps this form up. At least we don';t have to worry about Chelsea for once .No it doesn't.

I'm pretty sure he's played 300 matches now. I'm not sure how many his age can match that. Neymar maybe?Would be a huge signing. My only worry would be the potential injury problems down the line. He's played a lot of football since the age of 16 I believe?
50m plus Rooney for Lukaku? Jog on.
Yep as he's much better than Mata at right of a front 3 gives us pace and movement and would link up with Martial. I'd take Danny in a heart beat
£45m and we don't include Rooney?
Bit better.£45m and we don't include Rooney?
Bit better.
I only think he's worth 40m atm tbh. I'd say Rooney is 10-15m. 50m and and Rooney is ridiculous.
This is where valuation gets murky. Rooney's high wage demands mean that we're unlikely to see much of a fee when we do finally decide to offload him.
Bit better.

It's ridiculous imo because he isn't worth that amount. Why is it ridiculous? he's statistically the hottest striker in the league and only 22 to boot. If he were our property and Real came in for him, we'd be wanting 60mill minimum.
Also Rooney's wage will bring any fee down, similar you'd presume to how we offloaded RVP & Nani.
He's probably not worth it, but he'll cost it. Everton paid £28m for him and he's a better player now than he was when they paid it, and on higher wages. It's ridiculous imo because he isn't worth that amount.
I think 40m is more that a fair price. Like I said, 50m plus Rooney is just ridiculous. He's probably not worth it, but he'll cost it. Everton paid £28m for him and he's a better player now than he was when they paid it, and on higher wages.

Everton paid 28m for him. He has come on since their purchase, but only recently. He did go through a very dry spell not too long ago iirc? another 32m on top of the 28 they paid for him seems a bit much to me if I'm honest mate. I think 40/45 is pretty bang on for him as he is.Its tough to determine who's worth what in the current climate. Fees seem to be rising every summer.
With the amount Everton invested in him, his age, record and the lack of quality strikers around at the moment I think £60m sounds about right.
Doesn't really matter what's 'fair', sadly. PL clubs are loaded these days. Everton don't need to sell their prized asset.I think 40m is more that a fair price. Like I said, 50m plus Rooney is just ridiculous.

A player in red hot form will always command a pretty hefty premium, with current transfer fees spiralling and the influx of money into the league from the TV deals, sides outside the top 4 are as stronger as ever when it comes to transfers. It will take in excess of 50mil to sign him I bet.Everton paid 28m for him. He has come on since their purchase, but only recently. If they wanted 30m plus Rooney, I'd bite their hand off.
Naturally. Also, if they wanted to give him away for free, I'd probably be up for that too.
Would rather have Kane all day every day.
Except no he isn't, unless you're happy with wingers who don't score goals then you can as well just throw Depay there.
Would suit a top team much more than Lukaku. Better all round footballer. Why?
It's ridiculous imo because he isn't worth that amount.
Lukaku does qualify as home grown though? But Martial is worth £40m? (Or whatever we paid for him or will eventually pay for him?!)
Whether we like it or not, football fees are set on qualitative precedent. The fees for players like Sterling, Martial and De Bryne are the current benchmark for young talented attacking players in the EPL.
Lukaku is in the same ballpark as Kane right now, perhaps slightly less to PL clubs because he does not help fill and CL quota requirements.
In the current ballpark, Everton should be thinking £45m+, especially if they don't have to sell him to balance their balance sheet.
Lukaku does qualify as home grown though?
Young, PL proven, a beast - sounds like someone we could use.
In fairness most people (other than andersons agent) seem to think £35m is ridiculousweve been rumoured to be sniffing about at Felipe Anderson for £35m, yet people think spending 40-45m on Lukaku would be ridiculous?
I can only see him going to the states for massive wages (but a negligble fee)This is where valuation gets murky. Rooney's high wage demands mean that we're unlikely to see much of a fee when we do finally decide to offload him.
