that wasn't my point  it was more along the lines of that they wernt in the same youth set up ala Griezmann and Pogba, obviously Belgium and French get along fine in the sense of the Flemish and all that, its just weird how they struck up a friendship despite not really ever crossing the same paths.
Perhaps Raiola crossed them is enough. Similarly with Pogba & Zlatan.

I don't. He looks more like a footballer now. Can take him more serious when he doesn't look like a weed smoker.

How did his hairstyle mean that he looked like a weed smoker?
Seriously...how can people still think things like this in 2017?

No he doesn't. :wenger:

He doesn't even have a Pogba interviews...that's how much of a blatant liar this freak is.

How can he have inside information when he didn't have one darn clue we were signing Lukaku. He has no influence whatsoever. the man is crazy.

Wat?

I wasn't always totally convinced by him but he was excellent last season and there's certainly a trend of year on year improvement. That suggests a really good attitude to me, a drive to improve.

Given our recent most history this could well be the perfect marriage. Lukaku already has the goals against weaker opposition to improve our results straight away and the size of our club gives him the platform to push on and prove himself at the very highest level. He's still a great age and never had discipline issues

I'm excited to see him in our shirt

He looks unhappy :nervous:

Medicals don't seem like the most fun affairs. Nonetheless people read too much into these type of pictures, he's just relaxing, probably tired and jet lagged too, he has been grinning his ass off in a bunch of videos with pogba

In Italy Conte's toupee has a name. It is call Pancrazio and its a cat

How did Pogba and he become so close, even before Pogba joined us wasn't he on holiday with him? I don't see any club connections, they weren't living in the same area and don't play for the same national team...

ESPN has done an interview with Lukaku yesterday

Strange it's working fine for me. Maybe only working for Indian users, given that it's tweeted by ESPN India. Have you all clicked the link?

Works fin for me and I'm in England.

Love the bit where he calls us the biggest club in the world

Don't let @duffer see this.

Similar age and met while is a similar position in life? How do people make friends?

What I heard is that they first met when United played Chelsea years ago and they both were young lads who didn't make the squad so they hung out.

Worked for me, in the UK.

"Why Manchester United?"
"It's the biggest club in the World.....best stadium in England, best fans in England"

He knows what to say

Raiola. He use to (or at least used to) invite all his clients for a dinner during off-season.

Yes similar age, but that's not really enough is it? They didn't play for the same clubs previously, neither their youth teams or the NT. They're not from the same country. And when Lukaku was in this part of Britain, Pogba was in Italy.

The second part of your post goes some way to answering though.

As elite footballers at a very young age it's not unlikely they'll have met at youth tournaments etc, they'll have played against eachother a lot I imagine not to mention sponsor events and such like . Perhaps they just got to chatting and found they had a lot in common, with mobile phones and social media allowing constant contact from anywhere in the world the friendship could grow despite not being able to get together much. From from my entirely baseless and borderline racist opinion they do seem a similar profile of person I suppose

So he completed his medical yesterday? I'm guessing that they're working on a reveal video before officially announcing it then, shame he's sponsored by Nike and not Adidas though!

With all his posts on Insta and the above interview, I just don't see a "Hollywood" unveiling...unless they LITERALLY mean they will unveil him in Hollywood! Lol

I mean with the Pogba transfer, even though we all knew he was coming, he himself never blatantly commented on the transfer, which added to the hype.

How Woodward ended up signing him ...

(Fecking Epic)

:lol::lol:

If he turns into the donkey we all know he can be we'll still be fecked.

FFS stop calling him a donkey, a fecking donkey wouldn't score goals consistently in the PL.

"Please come save me":D

OMG. They have drugged him and have connected him to some mind control machine. I request Riola and Woodward to stop doing this and let him go to his dream team Chelsea. This is slavery (not related to his skin color). :D

Someone above reminded me about the Raiola factor. That must have been it I reckon. Apparently he holds a dinner with all his clients end of season.

ESPN jumped the gun a bit Maybe? Bit surprising to see the interview before United officially announced him.

Hearing some interesting stuff on the Lukaku deal this morning.

Apparently the Lukaku fee is so complicated that it's difficult to explain. Almost impossible to put a figure on.

It is likely that it could - all in - cost slightly less than £100m...but United won't pay anything near that. There is a write-off of quite a lot of money...a fee for Rooney (which will be classed as 'free' but actually isn't) a write off of money still owed to United from Everton for the signing of Schneiderlin as well. There are also add-ons that can be paid if United win one league title in five years, two league title sin 5 years, three league titles in five years. More fees depending on our CL finishes in the next 5 years and also more money depending on individual goals Lukaku scores over 5 years as well as where he finishes in Ballon D'Or reckoning over next 5 years. The entire fee could be reported as almost 100m or could even be considered as low as 55m.

When it involves write offs, it's still adds it to the overall value. If someone has a £15k car, the same person owes me £15k abd gives me his car and I wrote the £15k off..:that car is still worth £15k.
