Well his first tweet he claims Raiola just rang Woodward up and that's how the Lukaku bid started. However he contradicts himself later on. Seems like he's just making it up, I doubt he knew anything and that first tweet was just his fabrication, it also contradicts claims from a lot of other journo's.

All I'm trying to point out is let's not start to believe this guy when he starts making claims again, lets still take him with a pinch of salt

Dont believe he interviewed Lukaku ? Thats his kid in the picture. Just because he can be a bellend, and he can, doesnt mean he doesnt have contacts. His podcast got picked up by NBC recently so he must have something going for him.

No he hasn't. Police visited him but he was never arrested

Why did you feel the need to make this up? He was arrested said so in the article if you bothered to read it and also there was a snapshot of his custody record showing his details. Police also released a statement. Will appear in court.

How much would Aubamayang cost do people reckon? Think him alongside Lukaku could cause many a defence a lot of problems.

Honestly, it appears to be a misunderstanding on his part. Being arrested evokes the image of being led away in cuffs and sitting in a cell for an hour or two, being arrested and let go on the spot is a strange concept tbh.

Suarez' goalscoring record in big games at Liverpool wasn't noteworthy either. It happens. Then he moved to Barca and provided crucial goals in big games.

So maybe pilib does have some contacts. Getting an interview with lukaku when he signs for united is great.

Not a huge fan of his work, but He certainly has good contacts within United, that is beyond doubt.

Oh look another Perisic detractor. Its okay he hasnt got big stupid hair.
A bit childish mate. I don't rate him with good reason, why am I not allowed to have an opinion? We're on a football forum are we not? You can't always make assumptions that people have not watched him just because they do not rate him.

Those talking about Lukaku's record in the big games he scored away to City, Spurs and Arsenal last season. The season before that he scored the FA Cup goals that knocked Chelsea out, his record against the top 6 really isn't that bad for a player playing for a mid table side

Just seen this on twitter, is this true?
Good post, i hadnt read that. Interesting. Just goes to illustrate what a tangled web football transfers are.

They tend to meet up in the USA on holiday. Here's another vid from this time last year:

 at Pogba treating Lukaku like a stepson on a basketball court. his shooting form is terrible tho

I will probably repeat what others already has said but this is my view from a pure business perspective.

1. Signing another super expensive target is a clear message of intention. From a marketing point of view United show our commercial sponsors and future partners that we deliver both on and off the pitch.

2. It must be said that the deal that we pay £75m up front (probably in installments of four years) is great business. On paper Rooney isn't included but in reality he's part of the deal. Ed Woodward must be delighted with this outcome. No matter how you look at it it's almost a perfect deal where United get rid of £10-15m/year in wages, reduce initial fee from 100m to 75m, and on top of that only pay all of the additional fee if Lukaku is successful.

3. Personally I was in a split decision who's best suited to us regarding Morata or Lukaku. But from a business point of view it's a no brainer. Lukaku has more star quality and probably have a larger potential fan base then Morata. No disrespect to the young Spaniard. Off course is everything depending how well he succeed but I think his personality and charisma is as good as it can be for a young upcoming star. Grounded and well spoken.

4. Mino Raiola! What a guy.

5. His wages? As far as I know Pogba was on £165.000/week last season. I assume that Lukaku is starting on a similar level, probably close to £200.000/week. I think that's fair regarding he's probabaly going to be our top scorer. If he delivers 30 goal as season he will probably get a pay rise in a year or two. With Mino I'm not worried

I hope he gets a good start and starts to score right on, building a positive momentum in pre season is the best way to gain confidence and reduce negative thoughts. Playing for United is something else, from now on he's a public figure and with that adds pressure. Let's see if he can handle such a huge challange. All in all I'm delighted for him (and us)

Was never physically arrested

I know he interviewed Lukaku and has contacts with the club I'm just saying lets not start believing everything he says, he still comes out with some bs

Nobody said you cant have an opinion, its the herd mentality that does my fecking head in when none of us are Serie A regular watchers. If Jose thinks he is good enough he should be given a chance.

Reports reckon he would cost up to £70m, but he's asking for wages up to £400,000 a week. Even for us I don't think that's feasible for a 28 year old.

Well need an absolute anchor in midfield to accommodate pogba griezzman lukaku mkhi and martial / new winger

Martial lukaku mkhi
Griezzman
Pogba / dm

Alot of defensive work

Nobody will be brought in to take Ander Hererra's spot. He is nailed on as an automatic starter.

Don't think we'll ever line up like that in big games (assuming we ever sign Griezeman though I'm not hopeful about that anymore).
I suspect formation above would get murdered against most top PL/CL teams as they'd just walk through the midfield.

think its more likely to be

Griezzman lukaku mkhi
Pogba

Will Lukaku improve us? Given the release of Zlatan this summer it was obvious we were going to be in the market for a replacement. Only few strikers in the world can directly replace Zlatan in terms of leading the line, scoring goal after goal and being a major factor to get three points.

Given Zlatan is/was arguably amongst the top five strikers in the world it's difficult to say Lukaku will 'improve' our squad as such but easier to say he will maintain the standard of which we had last season.

Who would improve us? I'd consider Lukaku a like for like to Zlatan in a very loose term. A powerful player that has that presence in the box who look as if they are built for the Premier League. I can not see him adding anything different to our game than what Zlatan did. In my opinion the only players that would improve us after losing Zlatan are Suarez, Lewandowski and Kane. These three players that are a class above yet somewhat unattainable, not that we would want Suarez anyway, obviously.

So, who do we need? What we are missing and what we have been lacking all season are the creative players that play behind the striker. Obviously Fabinho would be a great choice, not because he is a creative player but because he would give Pogba the ability to play a more advanced role and really give him the freedom he needs to play his best football. Herrera could also then play a more creative role rather than a predominantly defensive performance.

To summarize, I'd personally consider this to be a poor transfer window if we do not sign the players to support the system which Mourinho wants to play and give Lukaku the creativity he needs behind him, which Zlatan didn't have last season. Unless we sign a Fabinho type player to help Pogba or an improved creative player that will provide more assists and movement we should just expect the same football we had last season.

By no means am I saying we won't sign a midfielder this window but just trying to put across that at the moment we are no better than we were last season with even with Lukaku (barring defense with Lindelof). Lukaku has all the potential for the future but that is another topic, I am more focusing on next season rather than five seasons down the line.

In big games, yes.

The biggest issue is Griezmann's completely misplaced display of loyalty, though. We can't afford to go a full season without someone close to his quality, so we should be doing whatever we can to bring in someone else this summer, instead of waiting a full season for him.

Yeah. As a Manchester United fan, that put me off him alot. I want players desperate to play for us, and he does not seem to fit that criteria
