If we get Ibra then we won't get lukaku
We wont need Lukaku provided Rashford develops over the next couple of years. If he scores 15-20 goals next two seasons, then I will no problem having him lead our attack three years from now. Why spend 50-60m on someone when we have an equally talented 18 year old in our books? If we get Ibra then we won't get lukaku

I mean considering they probably want £50m+ for Stones, why wouldn't they want £75m for Lukaku in a market where strikers conventionally cost double that of defenders that are at a similar comparative level. Needless to say neither are worth even half the fee Everton want.Wtf?! From bbc gossip round-up.
Manchester City are preparing an official bid for 22-year-old Everton defender John Stones, while the Toffees are hopeful a £75m price tag on Romelu Lukaku will ward off suitors for the 23-year-old striker. (Daily Express)
£70m for this guy?!
I am calling BS. No way Chelsea want to pay that for Lukaku!
Seems to me clubs are falling over each other to make the Pogba purchase a bit of a bargain. I don't think Lukaku is good enough for an Europa league side but then again Chelsea are not even in that this year.
Didn't he score a goal a game when Everton played in the Europa league? That is surely good enough for a team like Chelsea that's hoping to make the top 6.Seems to me clubs are falling over each other to make the Pogba purchase a bit of a bargain. Not to mention he is still 23 years old and his all round game is exponentially improving each year.I don't see what is unrealistic about £70m for Lukaku. He scored 17 non-penalty goals last season in the PL + 6 assists. Harry Kane in slightly more mins managed 20 non-penalty goals + 1 assist. Conversion rate of non-penalty shots taken inside the area: Lukaku 17/88 = 19% Kane 18/100 = 18%. Pass completion rate for both is 73%
Lukaku is under contract until 2019. Everton don't need the cash. Try buying Kane for much under £100m. If you go through the list of top 10 scorers in the PL last season, quite a few of them are at an age where you wouldn't expect them to deliver for another 4 or 5 years.
What a load of rubbishSeems to me clubs are falling over each other to make the Pogba purchase a bit of a bargain. I don't think Lukaku is good enough for an Europa league side but then again Chelsea are not even in that this year.
What a load of rubbish
He clearly is
If Lukaku wasn't the physical beast that he is, there is no chance he'd be a footballer right now. But saying that, physical attributes are very important in football. And when a striker scores nearly 25 goals a season consistently for the last 3/4 years, while only just turning 23, you'd be pretty harsh to say he isn't good enough to play for a Europa league side.I am a numbers man but I prefer to watch football players. And if you do that with Lukaku, you'll know he's not.
Do Chelsea have a sell on clause? i.e they get 20% back on what ever they pay.
Another Raiola client on the move. He is going to be rolling in money after this summer.
Higuain also broke the record for most goals scored in Serie A that lasted for 66 years, and the next highest goalscorer only had half of his tally, which shows how far ahead he was. Napoli are also direct rivals and Juve are about to get 110m Euros very soon.I don't see what is unrealistic about £70m for Lukaku. He scored 17 non-penalty goals last season in the PL + 6 assists. Higuain moved for £75m. He is 28. Last season in Serie A he scored 29 non-penaty goals from 130 shots taken inside the area, which makes his conversion rate 22%. He got 2 assists.
Let's be real, it is double his market value. But you're right, why should Everton sell for less. I just hope if any team comes in for Cleverley or Gibson, Everton ask for £30m, especially in this day and age.People are saying 70m is a joke but why would Everton sell him for less. It is what he is worth this day and age.
Good strikers are hard to come by these days and they don't have the best location (Liverpool). Most likely Lukaku will get you near 20 goals in the league, not many strikers can do that. And you shouldn't forget that the boy is just 23 years of age and has a long term contract. I wouldn't sell, no need for that and most teams can't do much with this kind of money, Yids as well as Pool fecked up big time.70m for Lukaku is a joke tbf.
You are living in 2010 prices mate.Let's be real, it is double his market value. But you're right, why should Everton sell for less. I just hope if any team comes in for Cleverley or Gibson, Everton ask for £30m, especially in this day and age.
