Chelsea not matching the agent fee should be the indication where would he land up.

If he prefers Chelsea I'd rather he said before we spunk £75-100m on him. We're running out of the few options we had though.

Jose might have to have a rethink.

Love it that Chelsea are telling the media that Lukaku wants them but if he chooses us it's to keep his agent financially happy. How gullible can people be

It is a bit grubby though that a player who has indicated all summer that he doesn't want to join us but wants to go to Chelsea instead may end up joining us because we're now so closely linked with his twatty agent and willing to give him so much money for essentially very little work.
Ehmm. Are you wumming here? The guy has a good relationship with Mou and is also Pogba's mate. This has nothing to do with Raiola. He clearly wants to play for us.

Is BBC still as reliable as they used to be?
Never seen them make such a mess of a transfer story. They are now saying United only made a bid for Lukaku when what they actually reported was that a fee was agreed. Ridiculous.

Wasn't too hyped on Lukaku, but I would hate it if we lost out on him now after getting invested in the player somewhat

He's not walking whether we get Lukaku or not. This portrayal that the media has created where Conte is a raving lunatic who's going around screaming and yelling at people all day is so ridiculous.

Only way I could see him leaving is if we have a repeat of the 15/16 summer under Mourinho.

Is there any truth to sandro story?

You guys do know the agent fee does not decide where Rom goes? Right? Just means if he chooses Chelsea, Raiola is getting paid less. It is not a deal breaker

If Chelsea have matched the bid he will end up there no doubt in my mind. Seen an interview with Drogba who basically said Lukaku wanted the move to Chelsea more than anything.

Our Chelsea fans (duffer, antihenry, Orc) etc are pretty loyal to the forum. Orc even pretended to be a United fan for 2 years. They won't vanish.
How did you find out he was a Chelsea fan?

It's probably not helped by Conte appearing in public looking like a raving lunatic, screaming and yelling at people every weekend though.

Not at all. I'm just happy United are finally playing the game after Gill's stance on agents.
I know what you mean and you have to play the game but I don't like that it's almost becoming our main selling point that we'll just throw loads of cash at all parties particularly the agent. There's a difference between matching what others do and hoping the player wants to come here because of the prestige of the club and footballing ambitions and what seems to be the case that the player doesn't want to come here and this is the only way we can sign him.

I would be gutted if he were to move to Chelsea, in all honesty. I feel he would immensely improve them. Hopefully we get this one over the line soon.

Exactly lol I sometimes wonder what fans really know. If the agent asks to much Lukaku basically tells him to do one and accept the offer, the agent doesn't own the player.

Yes, I mean, if it is true he prefers Chelsea (and obviously we don't know for sure) then why would we want him anyway. Did Mourinho say he only wanted players who really want to play for the club?

It's not a portrayal. He is mad. We see this on the touchline.

This is going to be a fine battle. I'd be happy to see Lukaku come here but he may not. Either way, you win some you lose some. No need to get bitter over transfer sagas. Chelsea has a right to try and get their man as much as we do.

It's obvious bullshit. The story says he wants Chelsea but is willing to go to United because his already filthy rich agent will get more money. Complete bollocks.

I bet we don't even want him and just put in a bid as a favour to Everton for taking Rooney off our hands.

Oh look, a Spurs fan enters the thread at the most opportune moment imaginable.

Nothing to see here, he'll be a United player by the morning. Roman is simply save face.

Love the way people think we can just casually saunter back and get Morata if this falls through

spot on. If he chooses chelsea, its tough shit. Raiola has little power here. FWIW still think theyve come in a bit late. Mind you, who knows when the bid was lodged....

if he goes to them we'd look like dickheads so i'm hoping we wouldn't have briefed unless we knew it was a sure thing (this assuming we did indeed brief)

Incredible that Chelsea have briefed that agent thing. They seem confident that he won't join them, so they're trying to paint him as greedy.

*keep refreshing twitter to see anything encouraging...

Why the feck no one of our journalists are reporting anything to make us feel some positive ?
