Other than an aerial presence in the box, he honestly offers nothing Martial couldn't up top.
 
So it seems we have paid £75million for a guy who can score sitters and that's about it.

Lack of service doesn't cut it. A striker for any of the elite teams in Europe needs to do more than stand in the box waiting for chances to tap in. We need a player who can create chances for himself. He does feck all

I'd blame the service if it wasnt for the fact he looks like a World War II tank coming forward. Sad thing is, Mourinho probably wont drop him.

Yep, even Mata and Lingard are linking up with Sanchez despite being deficient in other areas. Lukaku on the other hand has yet to exhibit a meaningful phase of play involving him and Sanchez.

If Sanchez is struggling to link-up with Lukaku, that speaks volumes about the latter's quality. This time next year, he will be on the bench for us at the least, I trust Jose knows more than he's letting on.

Lukaku is trying but really needs to step up. Such a gentle man for a big guy!
 
Has been really really poor. Put Martial or Rashford in his place and we would have been up by at least a goal. No ability in the air, no hold up, poor first touch. His physicality is actually looking like an handicap for him, given that he does not know how to use it. Is killing off all our attacks.

When don't need slow, rigid, heskey. We need pace like Rashford or Martial. Can we try that alteast? now that Alexis is here, he is fully capable of treading clever passes through defenders.

Remember when people decided Rashford isn't good enough as a striker after one cameo appearance when Lukaku went off injured. What kind of opinion do we form about Lukaku after performances like these then?

Lewandowski would do a job for a few seasons while Rashford and Martial mature.

Not sure who’d buy Lukaku at this point though...perhaps Chelsea if Morata ends up going back to Spain or Italy in the summer.

We are not paupers. Can take a hit, let Lukaku sit on the bench while being on high wages, who cares.
 
Been poor amongst a whole load of piss poor. Let's not suggest that everyone else is firing and he's not. Let's not suggest that they are creating chances which he's not taking. To a man this side had been bang average so whilst he's been shit, there is also a bloody long queue Of the same behind him....
 
His flick ons are the laziest and most pointless touches ever. Just sticks his leg out in the 5% chance something works out since he can't control it and hold it up normally

Doesn't excuse the turd he dished up before that. A CF scores and does a lot more, this is frankly an abysmal Huddersfield side.
