How is he a professional football player, has the worst first touch in the league!
 
For the kind of money we spent you want someone with two feet & has a football brain. He's got neither

I feel like a fairly basic requirement for a footballer should be the ability to make decent contact with a football under no pressure. If we can't blame Lukaku for that then we have bigger issues with him.
 
Unbelievably poor. I mean, how can you screw up two goals as an attacker.
 
He made the same clumsy error against Arsenal but people forgot because De Gea saved it and we won that game but it appears to be a recurring event with him now.

Mourinho attacking signings have been nothing special to be honest.
 
Has the first touch of a pub footballer. All he is doing today is flicking the ball with his head. That's it. Waste of money.
 
Bench him, not even for the second goal - he's just not on form and doesn't deserve to keep starting.
 
Haven't been this irritated by an individual performance from one of ours in a long lone time.

Of course you can.

No professional footballer should ever scuff the ball unopposed in that position.

Also his pass leading up to the free kick was terrible too
 
In fairness anyone with half a brain could see he is not and never will be an elite striker. Wouldn't start for Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal. Wouldn't make the bench at City.
 
never seems to be in full control of his body and/or legs. his touch is so erratic. such a weird player
 
How can anyone blame a centre forward for using a clearance cannon of another players back. We have highly paid defenders who are supposed to defend plays like that not have Lukaku back there
 
I don't have a problem with his clearance for the Otamendi goal, obviously it wasn't amazing but 99/100 times that wouldn't result in a goal imo.
 
Don’t get why he is marking space back post. Surely he’s a man to mark someone, rather than languish back post and end up an attempted clearance that he isn’t used to?

Anyway he’s got no service today, but also not done much with the limited touches he’s had
 
This is all on him. They weren't able to break us down in open play and his bullshit from set-pieces has gifted them two goals.

Haven't been this pissed off with a player in ages. Fecking useless!
 
That was a decent effort from lukaku but everything he does now is going to be slammed if it’s not perfect.
 
Not of the required quality to be the undisputed starting striker for United, which he currently is.
 
When I watched him for Everton versus big sides he always disappeared. That pattern continues at united.

What time is it? Zlatan time!
 
Should actually switch him to right wing, if we're not going to take him off and put Martial through the middle.

Perhaps he can perform a miracle before the end of the game, but thus far, he looks completely out of his depth.

Today is the first time I've thought we might have to go back into the market for a starting striker in the summer.
 
This game has disappointed me on many levels.

Mourinho and Rom have both been very poor in what they've brought to this game.

Rom isn't worth playing in the really big games, he doesn't turn up.
 
He's just a very limited player. Decent at few things, like scoring against lower teams, but too limited technically and tactically.
