Everytime I see Valencia bombs up the field, Lukaku makes a delicious run into the channel and with a good early cross it seems like he would bury the chance. But no, Tony will decide to ignore him 8 times out of 10 and try to force his way forward a bit more before whacking in a shit cross. I appreciate Tony but either he can't put in great crosses or he hates Romelu.

If Shaw can regain some form on the left like against Moscow I would be eager to try Young on the RWB. His delivery is great, and on the RWB he won't have to cut back like he does when he plays LWB.

Having precise first time crosses from the right would do miracles for our play.

Time to step up Lukaku, it’s time to show everyone that you are good enough to play for Manchester United. Especially when world-class strikers like Aguero are on display tomorrow and when Kane is scoring a brace today. Time to make more runs and give more of an effort, he has been standing still in the box far too many times now. 1 goal in his last 8 league games (!), after starting with pretty much one every game on average.

Safe to say, score tomorrow ans shut everyone up - strike out/play poorly and get the world on your neck kind of thing.

He showed in his last league game that he is good enough to play for United.

Well even Lingard, O’Shea, Wes Brown, Phil Neville were good enough in some capacity. What I mean is; be good enough to play as lone striker for Man United. One in eight is not good enough, and no, his appearance wasn’t particularly good against Arsenal either.

What's his goal/min average compared to Zlatans last season at this point of the league?
Ibra goal per 158 mins
Luka goal per 169 mins

Some other indicators:

Touches in the pen box
Ibra 113
Luka 78 (one extra game)

Goal attempts:
Ibra 68
Luka 51 (one extra game)

Shot accuracy:
Ibra 35% on target
Luka 45% on target

Mins per chances created (for others):

Ibra 63
Luka 84

N.B. Both played 90 every game

Man Utd 1:2 Man City
He's had a tough time so far. I'd shift him to the right and have one of Rashford and Martial up top. Martial's our best attacker at holding the ball up, but we could have him on the left running at Walker instead.

Totally disagree. Lukaku's movement has been excellent in first half. He's made some very good runs behind defenders backs, but been let down by poor passing accuracy.

I'm not blaming him. I agree that the passes have let him down and he's been very isolated the majority of the time when he does have the ball. That I what mean by him having a tough time.

He's been absolutely dreadful. Culpable for both goals and can't win a single header. It's like playing with less than 10 men... Again.

The shite pass to Herrera in the lead up to the free kick, after having acres of space, was more infuriating than the clearance.

Needs benching he offers nothing, can’t believe we actually spent 80 million on him. Everton robbed us blind.

Surely zlatan would be a much better option.

But his first touch is good guys, what are you crying about. His first touch is almost as bad as the cardinal's one on Timmy.

He's unbelievably bad. And his goal scoring drought (CL goal not withstanding) doesn't look like ending anytime soon. I know we have been conservative this game, but Zlatan scored in so many situations like these.

His shit pass to Herrera started the situation, and he got his second assist of the game - for City.

Bench him.

Frightening prospect having him defending set pieces. That’ll cost us again throughout the season, inevitably.

Lukaku at times shows some great touches and dribbling and passes, and at times absolutely shit
What great touches and dribbling and passes in this game? I have seen nothing from him so far.

He lost the ball/gave hospital pass to Herrera before Herrera fouled their player too.

Mr. Never shall be dropped

Said it time & time again - if Rashford had time to beef up; he would be a more capable striker whether we play 352 or 451
