Romelu Lukaku | 2015/16 Performances

We could really do with having him...

Fergie wouldn't leave that stadium without him....

He would be an amazing signing. Exactly what we need.

Do you prefer him over Kane, Aubameyang and Ibrahimovic?

That second goal while the lesser of the two was brilliant as well, knew straight away he'd score as soon as he went through. Space, freedom, power and precision. Great player, would take him for sure.

How much would he cost now though, upwards of £40m? And he'd probably favour a club with champions league football.

Depends who our manager is. Didn't Mourinho sell him?

This myth needs to be busted. Mourinho did not want him to leave, but Lukaku needed first team football so he chose to come to Everton.

OK, well Mourinho didn't rate him enough to give him the games, preferring Costa etc. Lukaku might have doubts about playing for him again.

I do think he has improved leaps and bounds this season. Will top 30 goals in all competitions this season, and may even pip Vardy for the golden boot.

Or play him...

Chelsea isn't really the club where a manager can afford to give an 18-21 year old striker time to learn and craft his trade, he had someone like Costa who was in the prime of his career and it paid off as he won the title. I don't think he'd regret his decision and neither will Lukaku on both parts.

This is what Lukaku said

“Choices were made by me. By me. Not by them,” said the 16-goal forward when asked if he regretted not staying at Chelsea given their need for fresh quality. “Everyone says it is Mourinho’s fault but it is not his fault because I made the decision. I went to his office to ask if I could go. He was the first one to say: ‘Good luck.’

“I signed the deal with Everton at 11 o’clock and the first text message I got on my old BlackBerry was from Mourinho saying: ‘Good luck, do your best and I will see you next season.’ He was the first. Nobody knows that and that is why for me he gets immense respect. It is really sad he has to go. He is a great character and a great man. Even though there were words said in the media, I never looked at it because I know what he did and not a lot of managers would do that.”

It isn't. Especially under Mourinho. That is one of the problems Chelsea have had, as they rely too much on older players, who have a tendency to get old.

I feel he is a realistic options this summer, can't say the same about the likes of Griezmann/Gundogan.

We would look at 50m+, and i wouldn't be surprised if he would cost us 60m.

He isn't a Barcelona or Real Madrid type of player. I don't see Wenger splashing that much on him either. Tottenham have Kane. He doesn't seem like a Guardiola type of player and they have Aguero/Bony.
If Chelsea went in for him i think he would chose us over them simply to avoid the awkwardness of returning back to a Club he left 2 seasons ago.

If we did sign him - £50m easy perhaps more, he won't be the only player coming in. Could see us spending another £150m.

Hopefully it José who is spending the money!

We need goalscorers in our team and Lukaku is exactly that. He's really fast too. Even though his touch is not perfect, the other attributes he offers, make up for that. I would be happy if we got him.

He is young, lots of Room to improve..hopefully has atleast half the career as the last Striker from Everton we signed

Ever since he made his debut at 16 at Anderlecht, his first touch has been his main weakness. He has already improved on that, but I doubt he'll ever 'master' it. But sure he can still improve of course. It's not a problem though because he makes up for that with his strength, pace and goalscoring ability. Like I said.. I would be very happy to see him at United. His house is in Manchester too already if I'm not mistaken.

I can see Lukaku signing for a top club this summer. There are rumors that PSG want him as Ibrahimovic replacement, but I hope he signs for us.
