Wtf is Mikel doing for the first goal ?
For those who missed.
Gosh no. Cue another summer of "United set to swoop for £60m Cavani" rumors.I can see Lukaku signing for a top club this summer. There are rumors that PSG want him as Ibrahimovic replacement, but I hope he signs for us.
Sweet with his house in manchester he is already halfway to signing for us.Ever since he made his debut at 16 at Anderlecht, his first touch has been his main weakness. He has already improved on that, but I doubt he'll ever 'master' it. But sure he can still improve of course. It's not a problem though because he makes up for that with his strength, pace and goalscoring ability. Like I said.. I would be very happy to see him at United. His house is in Manchester too already if I'm not mistaken.
Seeing the performances and potential of Lukaku, Barkley, Stones etc it makes you wonder just how badly Martinez has managed this side. No way they should've been in the lower half of the table. Player by player, I don't think there's much difference between their squad and that off Spurs.
He's actually quite fast, and whilst the latter statement has been a glaring weakness of his game he has improved at it a lot. You won't find many better available goalscorers around.too slow and shite at holding the ball up
If it takes £50m (and the miracle of Ronaldo isn't going to happen), so be it.
£100m? I highly doubt that. Unlike Stones last summer, I think Lukaku will push for the move if it comes up which will weaken Everton's hand in transfer dealing.£50m???
Try double that
Disagree on the speed; he lacks a yard of pace off the mark for me. Agree about him being a great goal scorer though. He's actually quite fast, and whilst the latter statement has been a glaring weakness of his game he has improved at it a lot. It may be that burst of acceleration, he is carrying a whole lot of timber on that frame after all. I think even if you account for potential lack of speed, he's constantly on the move, which is something we lack (even if we let get rid of van Gaal) Rooney's natural game these days is to move deeper down the pitch, whilst Martial is fairly content to have the ball come to him, probably due to self-confidence in his dribbling abilities. Which would work, if he wasn't triple/double marked all the time.Disagree on the speed; he lacks a yard of pace off the mark for me. Agree about him being a great goal scorer though.
Get ready for a rude awakening in the summer if you think we're going to pick up other Premier League team's top players for £50m with the money that's about to pour in, especially Everton with their new investor on top of the TV money.£100m? I highly doubt that. Unlike Stones last summer, I think Lukaku will push for the move if it comes up which will weaken Everton's hand in transfer dealing.
Have it on good authority that his personal hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. Not a deal breaker though...
He's a notorious user of AxeErmm, dare I ask you to elaborate. Cheesy bell? Halitosis?
It'll be infuriating to see Benteke start in front of him at the Euros.
Romelu Lukaku has now scored 25 goals in 36 games in all competitions for Everton this season and has scored 130 senior career goals, two months before he turns 23. Since moving to England, Lukaku has scored 78 goals. He has only started 136 matches. The Belgian is Everton’s highest goalscorer in a league season since Gary Lineker in 1985/86, and we’re only in March. Finally, Lukaku is the first Everton player under the age of 23 to score 25 goals in a season since Joe Royle in 1968/69.

He'd flop at United, plus its counter intuitive to expect Mourinho to develop the self-questioning necessary to sign him.too slow and shite at holding the ball up
I agree but it's stupid not to play Lukaku after the season he's had and that's exactly what Wilmots will probably do. Have to admit he'd find it harder to score because opponents tend to defend tight against us and that won't be different at the Euros but still, I just hope he gets the opportunity to prove himself. If Belgium just gave Benteke the right service they'd be fine, it's not Benteke's fault.

doubt atletico would put forward the funds needed for this sort of transfer, however he would be perfect for them. His combination of pace and power against the not so athletic la liga defenders would be nothing short of brutal.I could see him at Atletico next season, Simeone has been looking for a big man striker to partner Griezmann.
"I have been playing since I was 16 and never had a taste of the Champions League,” he says.
“It is going to be seven years. You think about it – if it is going to happen? Champions League football is really the next step.
“Playing every three days is something I really enjoy. At one point, we were in the Europa League and we were playing constantly, it was enjoyable. You travel, you play a hard game, you have a good result, play well, it gives you confidence to play well in the league – you play well in the league. People acknowledge that you’re performing.
“I have respect for every player, but those that do it every three days, scoring goals and winning games, giving their maximum? I take my hat off. It is not easy. When you play in the Premier League, the most competitive league, it is physical, tactical, technical, every single game, and then you have to play in Europe where you have to adapt to another type of football but you still perform. Every player wants to do it. It would be nice.”
“I don’t want to leave in a fight, if it happens,” he said. “I won’t say this or that – it is going to be good for me personally and for the club. They were the ones who believed in me at the time nobody believed in me, and gave me a platform to perform. I have tried to repay them with good performances, but I have an agent who deals with the interest. I do not want to be bothered with it. I just want to play my football.”
