Romelu Lukaku | 2015/16 Performances

Hopefully the new owner can convince him to have 1 more season if he spends big in the transfer window. It could be possible.

I'd want 70 million for him though and I don't even think that is outlandish. The man is a goalscoring phenomenon.

I can't think of any Champions League clubs that would be able to afford him and go for him. Surely we'd be in the mix this Summer.
What about PSG? I read they are interested in him as replacement of Ibrahimovic/Cavani.

Also Atletico de Madrid want him. However, I think they don't have the money to buy it (same as Arsenal).

If Real Madrid sign Lewandowski, I can see Lukaku being one of Bayern targets. But I think PSG could be his next destination because they will need a target striker, they can offer Champions League that it seems it's important for Lukaku and they have the money to buy him.

Break the bank for him I would say. I am convince he is the answer to our strike force. Power and pace with an eye for goal.

Who can blame him. He wants to play champions league football next season. :wenger:

I know it was an off day for him but holy feck he was useless on the deck and in the air today.

I really don't think he'd be a very good fit United at all, also think he's a tad overrated.

He was very isolated today and Blind took care of him one on one.

Exactly that. We forced them to hit long balls to him and relied on Blind (primarily) and Smalling (second) to sweep them up. A percentage game that we clearly won.

Perhaps one of the worse performance, I have seen from him this season. Did not strengthen the argument that he should be sole striker next season.
Any striker would suffer with the isolation he had this afternoon.

Most striker will, but most quality striker will look decent even if they were isolated. Just recently, Kane was playing Arsenal and his counterpart Welbeck was having a better game. However, because of Kane quality, he still manage to produce individual quality even while he was isolated and ineffective throughout the game. Kane has showed that quality multiple times already this season.

I expected Lukaku to at least showed some great hold up play, movement, and bully Blind who is almost 2x less his size, but Blind had the better of him throughout the game. It was as I said, one of his worst performance because I have seen a much better player this season.

Been very good this season but i hope after today he will shut the feck up about a big club. We have been on the end of some very generous refereeing decisions but that doesn't take away from the fact that Lukaku has had a monumnetal number of chances to score and fluffed them all in one of the the biggest games of his career.

Absolutely awful performance. Should've never given the chance for Rooney and Fellaini to make the save in those chances.

He has been shite the past five weeks or more. I would know because he has done absolutely nothing for my fantasy team.

Another overrated player from Everton. I would not go higher than £30m for him. However, to be rationale his performance recently might stem from the lack of team confidence at Everton right now.

If he thinks he's good enough for a top club he's deluded. Maybe a squad player but not a starter, he also played rubbish in the world cup two years ago so it's not just an Everton thing.

 What a donkey of a centre forward today.
Yeah. I'd been an advocate of signing him for us but after watching him in this game, absolutely do not want.

Highly temperamental and bottled it big time under high pressure. Have a feeling he'd crumble under the pressure of Manchester United expectations and 70000 fans at Old Trafford.

It's just so odd how someone who has been a pretty reliable goalscorer this season can fluff that many chances in such an important match.

He was absolutely shambolic today. He did pretty much nothing right

Not just been this game though. This makes it 6 games without a goal. On a bad run and his confidence in front of goal must be very low.

He was awful, I kinda wanted him before but now I'd rather save the money for other positions and keep playing Rashford/Martial

Since he started talking about moving to a Champions League club he's been awful.

Diabolical display. Can't see us shelling out 50 million for him, Kane is better anyway.

70 million :wenger:

He was not pocketed as He had plenty of chances, at least 4 which were clear open chances and should have scored a hat trick.
4? Apart from the penalty, which other chances are you talking about? His shot that De Gea saved with his leg was from a very tight angle, was never going to score from there. His header over the goal where Besic ran into him was too high for him.

His finishing isn't great, tends to just swing a foot at it and hope, but I can't think of many players in the Premier League who are as capable at making opportunities for themselves. First half today, Everton's only tactic was to knock it up to him and hope he could either create something or at least hold the ball up long enough for the rest of the team to catch up.

Nah he was shite today, fluffed all of their chances in a crucial game. Talks about champions league, move to big club, didn't show any big player mentality today. He's been quiet last few weeks anyway.

Was one of those days where didn't score but could've easily scored as many as 5 if his first touch had not let him down.

Oh boy, they are not happy with him on the Everton forum  most are saying they should cash in on him. As brutal as he was today, Everton are dreaming if they think they can get someone better than him. That Niasse bloke they bought seems to be a dud despite spending £13 million on him. Today proved he's a big game bottler though. But if he was to go PSG he'd look amazing (like most the PSG players other than Veratti et al) and he would score about 40 goals a season but would he seriously do it in the Champions league? They would have the same problem they have with Zlatan this past few seasons.
