Had we not signed kagawa I would have been hoping we were in for rvp if it was a decent price. He and Rooney could be great and he could work with our other attackers well but with kagawa it doesn't make sense, not unless we were to sell someone like Hernandez which is unlikely.

I hope he goes to Italy or Germany if we don't get him. I'd love to have him irregardless of who else we have in the team if I'm honest though.

Me too. Out of all the transfer targets that have been ***ped about here this past few years I'd tug the hardest if we were to sign this one.

Can't say I'm that gutted since it was always on the cards. What's annoying is the way he's gone about it. That statement is cnutish and there was no need for it. Just feck off and pick up your money soon and hopefully we do well out of a bidding war.

I don't think he'll ever repeat the heights of this last season wherever he goes.

I would take him here in a second. The problem is that there is absolutely no way he would sign for us. He might go to City or abroad, but not here. So I would just forget it.

The thought of Rooney and RvP upfront is enough to give anyone on world football a rock hard boner.

I am sure we will enquire only to discover that some other club e.g shitty are offering to pay him £300k pw. I bet we would stretch to 180-200 and a nice signing on fee for him though.

I can see us buying him for 30+ mio. just for him to get injured after 2 weeks and be out for two years with different injuries.

Nobody will sign him for that much. He is on his last year of contract and Arsenal have to sell or risk losing him for free. So I am guessing £18-22m should probably do the trick if there is more than one team after him, otherwise you could possibly get him for less.

I disagree, can't see us offering any new player that.

When it comes to RVP, I've never been able to make my mind up about him. This season is arguably his best, but before that he was always a 'not quite there' player, for me. Does one season change that? Not in my opinion. It'll be interesting to see if he replicates this seasons figures again.

Maybe he'll go on to win something instead ;)

Good one! Although he did win individual awards with us.

His primary concern is doubling his wages of course...trophies are just a bonus. I can't blame him for that but I can call him a cnut for pretending it's not about the cash.

if ronnie made back channel noises about wanting to come back, how much do you think we would pay him?

Haven't City intimated that they won't pay any new player more than their established players? I thought that was why the Hazard transfer fell through (in addition of course to the fact that he wouldn't get enough playing time there).

The main reason the Hazard (the prick) deal fell through was because they had enough options and he could not get enough playing time if he went there plus if he went there, everyone would say he went there for the money.

Poor old Berbie, I think that was Wenger's worst ever buy. Silvestre had started about 9 games for you in 18 months and was predictably injured or crap all the time with us.

Better buy, he only cost 1M euros and didn't work out, you take shots on young players like him and Alex Song and some of them work out, at least he had potential.

Because he could have been something, worth a chance, Silvestre was clearly fecked.

As said earlier, the fact that Nasri has won something in his first year whilst getting a substantial pay raise will have something to do with this decision. I also expect Walcott to leave but he isn't that great anyway.
