I just caught the shot. I didn't quite grasp his superb technique.

This guy is quality. We've lacked a player whose role is to basically just put it in the back of the net whilst still playing with the rest of the team. I think we will reap teheran rewards when it come to European affairs.
I'm also looking forward to when he starts getting a real understanding going with the wingers for crosses, he ain't too shabby with his heading abilities. That coupled with his natural game could be lethal. 
I like to see him play with a target man like Welbeck. Crosses and long balls will be for Welbeck and van Persie will pick up short passes to score with his trademark curling shots. With Kagawa range of passes, he'll have a field day.

Now that Rooney is out, looks like he'll be our main man up forward for some weeks. Looking forward to seeing what this RVP lad can do.

This is the kind of thing Van Persie did regularly for Arsenal. Something brilliant on a consistent basis. It's a rare quality and he has it in him. Really could give us the edge this title race.
As for his general performance, he's still not fully match fit/sharp and it will take a bit for the players to build an understanding with him. Someone like Kagawa will always fit in faster because he likes to come deep and pick up the ball. Van Persie will take a little longer to be at ease completely .

Nah, the technique required for Van Persie's is on a different level.
Nice to score on your home debut. More of the same and other players to provide the support, Young and Valencia to put the ball into dangerous areas.

That was an outstanding goal, probably his best ever goal for United. He scored another quite brilliant one in the Charity Shield against the Arse, didn't he?
Yes, he did. The start of his United career was all rosy at the beginning. He was saving our arses week in week out for a couple of months. It turned out to be a shit transfer, mainly because of injury, new position and possibly not being good enough.
But you can't go on to say he was a shit player. He came here in our dark period so to speak and was faring quite well. Clearly wasn't as bad a player as he's remembered by most on here.

fergus bought keane and ince, and you can add carrick to that as well....he has it in him to spot a CM.
Of course. But only Carrick has worked in the last decade or so. And Carrick really isn't in the same bracket as the best in the business. A similar list for wingers, centre backs and strikers would be littered with brilliant players.

That was a terrible penalty. Why give the keeper a 50/50 chance of saving it. With a kick like that if the keeper dives the right way he saves it. Should aim for the corner every time
It's pretty funny that you can get to 29 years of age without knowing that when you chip a penalty down the middle, you're supposed to chip it down the middle.
