You don't need tarot cards, tea leaves or haruspication to predict he'll be crocked by November.

And you dont need to predict the future to see if rvp scores a few between now and november storeys bitterness will see him banned again.

Doing the text rounds, and maybe on here already but I can't trawl back through so many pages:

United - Robin Van Persie
Liverpool - Robbin' Van Stereos

tuned it at like 20 mins and although heard about this goal being class. I've personally not seen much of him on the field? and we've been very much in control

Kagawa looking the part again.

No he hasn't touched the ball a lot, very much the lone striker, getting in the right positions while Kagawa and Cleverley boss the game.

He's done exactly what you expect players like him to do. Even when they aren't in the game they can get you goals.

He isn't going to be Rooney like who was always involved in the build play. But what a sensational finish.

Didn't he also hit the post before Rafael's disallowed goal? Or was that Kagawa?

His movement is just not suited to blasting wide play. I think when the ball goes wide he kind of switches off and doesn't try to poach. imo

SAF's doing it again, getting players who are better up top to play in the hole... Berba, Owen and now RvP. He only seems to trust Welbeck to play ahead of Rooney.

Still best manager ever and all that...

I don't think he'll be as involved as Rooney. His finishing is like Berba, clinical. Also his touches, and passes are wonderful to watch. He's only going to get better with time, with him gelling with others.

I'm genuinely surprised by that, he was at the center of everything for Arsenal. He's been much less involved with us so far.

Averaged something like 20 less passes per game last year than Rooney, he drifted through plenty of games as many lone strikers do. He looked a threat throughout though, absolutely wrong to say he switches off when we're crossing it in because he was lively in the box throughout and got in plenty of dangerous positions. Giggs should've picked him out for his second late in the game.

I love him already.

Magic finish today. Right out of the top draw.

Great goal, but hardly involved otherwise. If that was Rooney we would hear the same old "his otherwise poor performance was masked by a great goal".

It was his first start. He'll get in the game more once he's played more than about 7 minutes with his team-mates.

That will do him the world of good fitness wise, if your basing what he is going to bring off this game alone you are a lunatic.

It's only been since his second game (first he started) and besides our team do have this tendency of playing it wide a bit too systematically
Yep. Its quite annoying at times as its almost the default move for us when switching it up could bring better results.

RVP is going to take time to adapt to that. He still played well today, but not amazing as he didn't get enough of the ball. When he did though he showed plenty of nice bases and a few switches/crosses. Great goal as well, did really well with the bouncing ball coming in.

It's baffling how few touches a player of his quality had got in the last two games.

Bit wasteful to ignore him and hopefully we figure out a way to get him into the game more.

He was alright aside from the goal, set Young up with a great chance.
