I thought terms were agreed ages ago, to be honest. Seems to be the way things are done. There was certainly lots of talk in the papers, in every article about the transfer, that RvP had already agreed terms.

I haven't followed it much today but have we not just said a fee has been agreed? If not, I can assume that terms were already agreed. But I will become a hermit if this does not go through

The reporter tells him that RVP is going to United (or something to that effect), Vermaelen says "true?", reporter confirms that it says so on the websites of Arsenal and United... I think he says that he's disappointed after that, and that van Persie has given his all to the club, but I'm not entirely sure - I don't speak Dutch.
The facial expression says a lot, though.

Well obviously he knew of the rumors regarding RVP to United, but IMO he genuinely did seem slightly shocked and upset that the transfer appears to have actually gone through.
His reaction to the news is rather strange though as in this thread there is a photo of Kompany, Vermaelen and Van Persie talking together during the match earlier, perhaps Van Persie didn't mention it to him then...
Anyway, enough of that rubbish and speculation, I'm looking forward to announcement that he has passed his medical!
