I don't think he has played that well for 5 or 6 weeks, but even then he has chipped in with a couple of goals. The beauty of him he will always get a chance and only a matter of time before he starts banging them in again. Hopefully starting on Tuesday.

I think he is playing better when Rooney drops into midfield in bigger games and he stays alone upfront, rather than like today where they played too close to eachother.

Goals have dried up a bit. He looked a nailed on winner of the player of the year again a month or so ago... now Bale and Suarez have a good chance.
First time ive seen him proper angry at Wazza as well. Rooney should have passed him the ball in the second half IMO. Ahh well.

At the moment, RVP, Bale and Mata are all looking very similar for POTY. If RVP scores a few between now and mid to late March, he'll be back in with a shout.
Sadly it does seem like a while since he's scored, and goals will be crucial vs Madrid. The positive is that despite not scoring (and missing chances), he was brilliant in the Bernabeu.
