Thanks mate. 19 goals is bloody impressive!
Don't cha wish your striker was R.V.P

I think he's on the same level as Ronaldo. There, I said it.
That first goal of his That's just screaming for a gif.

He wanted to take a break from carrying Arsenal all season.Still scratching my head on why didn't he show this kind of form during euro 2012...
that one play where he spun off the defender, sidestepped another before checking back on his left and just skimming the bar was brilliant, almost
he just seems untouchable out there, like he is just toying with defenders. A complete joy to watch.
He's having the same effect that Ronaldo had in the 07-08 season. i.e. just winning games on his own through moments of genius almost every week.

Dare I say that pull back and finish for the first goal kind of reminded me of Eric?
Yep, very reminiscent for me.
At the end of the day he's matching Ronaldo's goal output while being a notably better passer and set piece taker. He's not that quite the all-round goalscoring threat in the sense that he can't score in as many different ways - lacking that searing pace to get in behind or that towering leap to score in the air - but give him the ball in and around the box and he's every bit as lethal, and he offers that bit more in the build-up.
You do know you're comparing the goal scoring prowess of a striker in his prime with a 22-23 year old winger.

Well, I wouldn't agree with that. But he's a good candidate for third best player in the world.
I'm comparing two forwards in their prime - Van Persie contributes to the build-up every bit as much as Ronaldo these days and plays in roughly the same positions.
He he he. He's Van Basten-like.
I'm not sure if we can call him the third best in the world either. Top strikers such as Ibrahimovic and Falcao are both on the same level as him, while you've still got the likes of Xavi and Iniesta. I'd argue a case for top 3 strikers though.

He wasn't this good for Arsenal... was he?
