Great pics. The amazing thing is how much of a team player he is for such a great goalscorer as he has become. Unlike most players of his type, you can rarely ever say he's been greedy. And even when he hasnt seen much of the ball, which happens a lot with him keeping our shape up front, he doesnt end up coming to the half way line trying to get a touch of the ball. He's content to stay up top and if when he finally gets a kick of the ball, a quick layoff is on he'll take it, not take 3 or 4 touches just because he's not been involved. Just a very selfless player on the pitch in a lot of ways,

I thought his target-man-play in the first half was excellent. It was his chest off that made the first goal and he won most of his headers against Toure and Kompany too.
Even with everything he's done so far you feel we can get more out of him. His control and use of the ball is just classy and that goal threat is something else. We knew his left foot is magic but he's more than capable with his right foot and head as well.

Such class when he on the ball. His hold up play was superb and his chested pass to Ashley Young started the counter attack which led to our first goal. Some of his flicks and passes today were top class. We have been spoilt with a plethora of great strikers but RVP might just be up there with someone like Ronaldo.
And he's worthy of every praise he gets. Pure class on and off the pitch.
He has the best touch in England after Berbatov.
When we got that free kick at that side of the pitch, I told my kids to celebrate quietly when RVP scores from it as the rest of the family were asleep. 5 seconds later, the 3 of us were jumping up and down quietly like spastics. I did wonder a bit when we announced his arrival, but he's been bloody brilliant for us. Really enjoys playing and his understanding with Rooney is getting better by the game. Masterstroke by the Wizard.
