Is it just me or does anyone else feel like this guy is definitely going to do something very special for us and go down in the history books.

There's so many things about him that seems to point towards an inevitable "fate" of some sorts. His quality, his personality, his move from our rivals to us, his appreciation of what sort of club we are and the history we have, his match winning knack, his instant partnership with Rooney, his professionalism, the way the younger lads like Welbeck are already looking up to him.

I just get the feeling that like a series of other players in our history he has a bit of a special path laid out for him, although I think laid out is probably unfair as its always down to the players who lay the path themselves with their ability and attitude.

I realise that is dangerously verging on a RAWK like effervescent post but I really feel he's going to do something special for us, if not this season, then next.

When I saw this, RVP pro footballer taking pictures of Cantona, his legend was sealed for me:

No matter what happens for the rest of this season the man can literally do no wrong now.

 That's brilliant.

Yeah, hopefully his contribution gets us the league title. The CL looks a step too far atm. Possible but improbable.

Fwiw he's taking a picture for someone else posing with Cantona. This will probably shatter #07.

Yeah I agree, the PL is more likely than the CL. But why can't we dream? When you see Liverpool in 2005 and Chelsea last season winning the CL.

Look at the players we have up front, and if we don't dick around with the midfield (i.e playing Scholes or Giggs with Carrick), then we have a strong chance IMO.

Nah feck that, I operate in the real world (like a boss), and we've no realistic chance of winning the CL, barring as you said, a Chelsea-like miracle.

That's Buttner besides Cantona, he was taking their pic

With some luck and hopefully a good run without injuries I suspect RVP will go down pound for pound (or goal per game) as one of best strikers and not only that but in terms of pure ability is probably already among the very best strikers to play for our club.

Don't despair yet, one of the clubs PR men/MUTV Journos tweeted last week that RVP was in his element by taking pictures of his son with Cantona

i thought that was a child next to cantona and then i remembered buttner took one with him and i put 2 and 2w together and came to the conclusion that it was indeed buttner.

So RVP was taking photos with his son and Cantona; RVP was taking photos with Buttner and Cantona - so Buttner is RVP's son?

Surely that's the only explanation.

Rest him at the weekend or put him under STRICT orders not to do anything stupid. A booking on Saturday and he's out of the Derby :nervous:

feck.

I hope the coaching staff take note.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to rest him but seeing it's an away match, he'll probably start.

I really don't understand the idea of resting players in the league. He's a professional football player who has had enough rest by not playing in the latter games of the Champions League.

He's had enough rest. He's a tremendous footballer that wants to start (and not to mention he's on a high wage :p) Play the man and let him score!
