Come on, there's a clear difference. Ben Arfa has been a chubby bag of tricks who doesn't know what he's going to do next for most of his career. Mahrez has vision and intelligence in addition to ability.
 
Spectacular player, if a manager got hold of him and told him not to cut inside every time he gets the ball on the edge of the box he'd be even more effective. In a big team he wouldn't get doubled up on all the time either.
 
Think he'd be great at Arsenal or Chelsea tbh.

Doesn't apply to us.
 
I would like him here. He's the type of player we need, i.e. someone to do something special in the final third that normally results in a goal.

Today he was quiet against City, but one moment of magic won him the pen. Obviously it was disallowed, but he has the ability to have special moments like that in a game.

Unfortunately, like you said, he doesn't seem like a typical Mourinho player. He's not exactly rapid, nor is he powerful in his running. Mourinho normally likes at least one of those.

He's more than capable of playing in the Mourinho fashion, if you look at him in the Pearson era he tracked back diligently, rode challenges and broke away at pace routinely in the manner of Duff/Robben. It was only under Ranieri that he cut back on this tenacity and floated around more.
 
Id love us to sign him. We need a player who can dribble past players, we're too one dimensional in attack. Either him or bernardo would make a big difference for us.

Mahrez has 10 goals and 7 assists all comps which isn't bad for an appalling season
Mkhitaryan has 10 goals and 5 assists
Mata has 10 goals and 6 assists
Martial has 8 goals and 9 assists
Jesse has 5 goals and 3 assists

Judging by the stats if his was appalling so we're all our 'wingers'

Same. When most of our issues in the post-Fergie era relate to mentality, the last thing we need is another mentally unsound player.

All our wingers have been appalling. He also takes their penalties and free kicks
 
20 mil I'd take him, anything more it's too much of a risk.
 
He will go to Chelsea like Kante and he will be great and we will wonder why we didn't buy him. Guy was player of the season, didn't try for a year because of some issue and now he is back. Plus he is a winger which we never have. Saying that I'd rather go
All out for Beramdo but Mahrez is prem proven, no settling in needed. Ideal for a flying start to next season

Mahrez has been fit all season and has only missed games because of AFC. None of our players have played all games and none of them take penalties. One of them has even had surgery this season. He should have done more considering he's the main creative outlet in his team and did a lot better last season. Lastly, Lingard isn't even comparable. He's not in the same class as the others.

Mahrez can be a very good player if he's motivated to play. He's a risky kind of purchase.

This is the reason why I wouldn't want him anywhere near United.

Mahrez has only ever scored 1 free kick for us in the Cl and we have hardly had any penalties this season, fact is Mahrez has been shite this season and unlike most others, when Shakespeare took over his performance level didn't increase.

My gut feeling is that he will end up at Marseille
 
Exactly the kind of player we should be looking at.
Our transfer strategy should be to buy players who we do not have to wait for to develop or settle into the league.
He fast, can beat a man or two, and get's you goals and assists.

For all the talk about Griezmann and other players.
I'd be very happy if we start the next season with a front 3 of Sanchez Lukaku Mahrez.

Half of his 6 league goals have been penalties.
 
Which means he's scored 3 that's hardly loads of penalties over a 38 game season
 
Since we have lost Silva , I think we should go in for him with another winger as well. He'd be looking for a transfer.

Our philosophy? We boot the ball long to a tall player or for Rashford to chase, that's been our gameplan for months. Mahrez is fragile, not suited to the demands Mourinho places on players.

That's just temporary, We wont appraoch every big game like this , Or should we? , Its not United esque, and wont work in ucl. We did it because the midfeild was not good enough and players were not capable of holding the ball in a high press because the wingers keep loosing the Posession as they dont making attacking runs in space, to recieve a pass

I wouldn't bank on it being temporary mate, Jose's reputation for netagive, sterile teams is not without reason, I thought he was going to change here but for the last few months it's seemed to not be the case, and basically before that our gameplan was still fire it to the big man, he was just a more refined big man than the one we had to use once Ibra was injured.
