 Nothing you just said makes me believe Jose will play Tony at RB. Also who says we will be out of money IF we sign Pogba
We'll be overdrawn otherwise and the Glazer's simply won't allow us to pay the £5 a day overdraft charges on our Natwest account.

£45m for a player of the season with 3 years in his contract? That's not too expensive if you think some foreign players like Sane can cost you £40m, Payet is £50m, and Lukaku is £60m. I'll say buy.

Its peanuts for him.

Where do you get that idea?

UEFA has the best statistical players as

1) Payet
2) Griezeman
3) Bale
4) Kroos
5) De Bruyne

So Hazard was not even statistically the best player on Belgium let alone the whole Euros.

Not getting into the Hazard debate but this just shows how terrible those ratings must be. Payet was not great at the Euros bar the first game. De Bruyne wasn't great either. So even if whatever rating the Chelsea fan uses says hazard is the best, if it's anything like this one it must not mean a single thing.

If he's up for grabs would be crazy not to go for him.

After we get Pogba (or whoever) is live this guy in. If he where to join we'd be set for the season a head I'd like another defender but attacking wise and in midfield we'd be well set.

Would be great if we bought him, he offers completely something else than any player in the team. I think Jose would also teach him how to work even harder and I think he would be great no 10 as well..

Are him and Mhki not very similar though?? I'd say they are and that's maybe why well not be interested.

I don't think they are similar, I mean in in terms of what they provide (creativity, goals assists) they are but they have different style, Miki is a strong runner, while being great dribbler, Mahrez is different level as for dribbling and he seems to play with his head up more too, more of playmaker when he's deeper and when he's close to the goal more of a selfish bastard who runs at people and score more goals, better finisher, Miki is more balanced, works harder but lacks a bit of flair on Mahrez, that's my assumption of the two, maybe Martial in the final third reminds of Mahrez more than anyone else in the team.

Would be a big shame if he let him go to any other team

Totally agree id love him at United just don't know about Jose

Mourinho should be going all out to sign Mahrez. We can play Mkhitaryan as the #10 and let Mahrez create havoc from the right. With Martial on the right and Zlatan we should not have any difficulty in creating and scoring goals.

The £100m and more that it would take to sign just Pogba could easily be spent to get Mahrez (£40m) and Bonucci (£45m) and Ounas/Lozano (£15m). I can't see any possible scenario where adding Pogba strengthens the squad more than adding, say, those three. And we have other alternatives. For example, we can get Mahrez plus Matuidi plus Fabinho for the same amount as for Pogba alone, and the squad will be much stronger. That is my sole reservation with our Pogba obsession, that we will be passing up opportunities to get premier-league winning talent for other areas of the pitch into the squad.

None of those players come anywhere close to Pogba. Pogba is talked about as the next player who will be winning Ballon D'ors. He is rated on another level. Pogba is exactly the sort of player that lifts a whole team up.

He didn't lift France very high did he

Well they got to the final but he was playing Defensive midfielder. He still had an assist and scored a goal in the tournament.

Back to Mahrez - wonder where he'll end up.

Did you watch the games. He never played as a defensive midfielder and the couple of times he was in a defensive position he gavea penalty away and the second time the ref missed an obvious penalty against him. He is good but overrated. Is he so much better than Andreas?

You say he didn't lift them very far but he played DM in the final certainly ...and if they allowed him to attack they might have won the competition. He's not a defensive player so it's not important what he does defensively. If we want a defensive mid, we'd just have signed Kante. The times he was out wide, he looked a threat. He scored with a good header. Him and Andreas could play in the midfield with a more defensive minded player. Some one mentioned TFM which would be a great trio down the line but it rarely works out like that.

But Pogba isn't really overrated but then again, when you put this kind of a fee on his head - most players would seem overrated.

Are you serious? :wenger:

And Pogba was France's deepest midfielder in the Euro final.

Don't want

But like I said in another thread:

He won't be at Leicester by the end of the transfer window. He's clearly just dismissing it because he doesn't want to talk about it, shown by the way he buts in and tries to end the conversation quickly. He doesn't even look at the reporter any time when saying Mahrez is staying

Would be terrible if he goes to City. Hope Barca sign him. On a sidenote, why aren't more clubs going for him? He's the PFA player of the year in the league last year!

The obvious pen that was outside the box?

He played defensive midfielder in the final. Poor call by Deschamps. He was playing deeper vs Germany too until Kante came on - he then beat a defender and created a goal within 5 minutes.

I think we would have to be favourites if we signed Pogba and Mahrez. I would like to see it but I think I'd prefer Pereira, Januzaj and more importantly Rashford given a chance instead of buying Mahrez.

More like Lingard or Young. Jose will go for performance. Young was very effective RW last Saturday against Wigan, and has a good partnership with Valencia. No way will Jose give players a chance during competitive league matches. Not unless we're 3 goals up with 15 minutes left.

Mahrez is already that dangerous winger with no defensive weaknesses that Jose will love. I'm not sure he'll be half as effective against a team parking the bus as he is playing on the counter. So, I'm not sure about this one.
