Yep he is an upgrade on our options from right wing. (Have not seen Mickey T yet) but like Mane who signed for liverpool i would rather have these guys here than say Lingard coming on to try and change the game for us. Our bench over the last 3 years has been uninspiring apart from Falcao who proved to be washed up and a want away non trier in Di Maria.

Quality player. If signing Mahrez and Pogba gave Jose a selection headache who cares. A selection headache for me is having to bring on average dross from the bench to change things up. Lingard, Young, Valencia, Fellaini etc I would not bat an eye lid if they never played for the club again and I'm not opposed to selling Mata either. Rooney is good enough for the bench only if we have plans bigger than just getting into the top 4.
You look at the top clubs in Europe who can bring quality off the bench, they seem to have 15/16 players good enough to start for their first teams. We need to be like that. Lets hope he is off abroad rather than to a rival like Arsenal if these rumours are indeed true.

Hope we sell memphis and get him. Our wide options will be great. I hope he is one of the supplementary players we buy if we sell memphis/mata/young/valencia.
So far, it's been Barcelona and PSG.
We absolutely have to be in for him and it will definitely soften the blow should the Pogba signing fail to materialize. We would just put Mhki central, Mahrez on the right and buy a defensive B2B to stiffen the spine of the team.

It is a bit of a dirty trick though Mahrez basically telling Leicester City to F OFF and sell him after they took a "punt" on him. Doesn't exactly put them in a position of strength.. just used them as a stepping stone.

I think if we were in for him we'd have made a move already. He'd be ideal but one season isn't enough for Mo. He wants consistent and not a flash in the pan. That said, i'd love us to take the gamble.

Agreed. He's had one seasons worth of form in a miracle season. I'd be very wary signing him frankly, could simply be his purple patch.
Want Mahrez here more than Pogba if I was honest. He would gel well with Mkhi Martial and Rashford IMO

Had the best season he will ever have, like the rest of the Leicester lads. Was already getting found out toward the end of 2015/16 and will prove to be a paper tiger at his next club. Can't blame him for taking the payday, but people forget the usually solid reasons why these "players who come from nowhere" were not picked up earlier on.

Well Payet was inconsistant and west ham too a punt. I think mahrez has matured as a player and plays with great confidence. I think if we are going to take a punt - then he would be the player and Jose would be the best manager to get the most out of him. I think he'd be far more productive then Young and Valencia have been.
Any player comes with an element of risk but though playing for Leicester is different then United, the pressure was on them and they fought well with Mahrez scoring some big moment goals.
I think James is pretty underrated around here. Mahrez is absolute quality don't get me wrong, but James as well.
I think Mahrez has a very limited bag of tricks (cue somebody posting a youtube compilation "proving" otherwise). Goes down like a sack of spuds, too. Don't get me wrong, he was occasionally awesome. Just don't think any of those Leicester lads will tear up tress outside of last season.

Don't think we'll be able to land him, too much interest from other clubs. Also, not a single peep of interest on our end.

he hasn't been linked with anyone just some french Journo wanting to get his name out saying he suddenly wants to leave, everyone knew all summer that Kante was likely to leave as much as we tried to get him to stay so to say now that Kante leaving means Mahrez wants out as well is just fanciful, IMO, unless Barca start showing interest, he is a Barcelona fan, I don't see Mahrez demanding a move, he has no buy out so we can't be forced to either

yes and they all also ran stories that Vardy was joining Arsenal "on Monday morning" remember, even if he rejects it, his current deal has 3 years left so we have no need to sell for anything less than West Ham are demanding for Payet for example.
To be completely truthful I personally wouldn't be all that upset if he left anyway, I feel he is quite easily replaceable, his form at the tail end of last season could easily have seen him dropped, media see the highlights of him and make out he does that all the time
