I think he's a good player, and I'm happy for everything he's accomplished this year, definitely well deserved. However, I do not want him at United. I feel that Leicester was collectively better than they were individually and I would not be surprised if the players that leave (if any) struggle when they move on.

Meh possibly but Mahrez can beat players one on one and go past them with pace. He has individual ability that sets him apart from the rest of that team.

Yeah maybe! I think I'm still somewhat in shock about Leicester and I think I'm in the denial stage. And along with that in denial about the quality of their players. I would love to be wrong though, but I just have a feeling there's not going to be too much success to those who leave.

There wouldnt for most of them but this lad would have best shot

From the sounds of things - he's off.

Assuming it'll be a similarish fee to what Kante went for.

We should be all over this.

Doubt we'll be in for him. Rooney's still around and the only place Mahrez would fit is on the right flank, so obviously we'd have to move Mkhi to the centre as the #10. With Rooney around, I don't see that happening. Not yet at least.

I see us playing 4-3-3 anyway, so signing him wouldn't make sense.

I'd be wary of signing Leicester players. It's just hard to imagine them replicating the form they had last season.

Mahrez is probably the safest bet, but where do we play him?

For people suggesting we play him on the right and then Mkh as the number 10, where does Pogba play if he arrives? He's not a great midfielder in a double pivot. He has to be further up the field.

I just don't think we have a place for him.

If he's rejected a new contract, I imagine he's got a club in mind so we'll have to wait and see.

Pogba deep against dross sides (the majority of the league), against better sides bench one of Mahrez/Mkh/Martial and push him forward and bring a midfielder in behind.

Similar to what City and Chelsea have done with Cesc, Yaya etc.

I don't think Mourinho will play him in a double pivot honestly.

If we didn't sign Mkh, I'd want Mahrez. I really don't think there's a place for him. It would cause an imbalance in the squad again.

Even if you use Pogba at 10, 3 of Mkh, Mahrez and Martial for 2 positions isn't over kill at all.

If it meant the end of the likes of Young, Lingard etc, then so be it.

That's a fair point actually. I'm not a fan of Young or Lingard at all.

Like someone said, him rejecting a contract might mean he has a club in mind. Wonder if we'll be interested.

I doubt we'll be interested, Mkhitaryan seems far better from the right than he would be as a no.10, and is far more defensively diligent than Mahrez which Mourinho always wants in his wingers.

Mourinho can instill that in players.

Hazard, Robben, Di Maria and Eto got better at tracking back under him. Obviously then you got someone like Ronaldo who Mourinho kept forward.

But remember the Di Maria that came here who was lazy compared to the one that ran his socks off for Jose at Madrid.

Boost for title chances whoever gets him and happens to be that we need players who can dribble past defenders badly. Lingard & Memphis are not very convincing in that regard plus it would be far more ambitious move than Mane or even Sissoko.

Let's just hope for now he won't end up in one of our main rivals team.

He probably already has a club in mind. I don't think it's us.

Would be something if we had Mahrez, Martial, Mkhi, Zlatan and Pogba in the same team, but I cant see it happening.

Yes please!

-----------------Zlatan
Martial---Pogba----Mkhy----Mahrez
------------Schweinsteiger

Pace down the flanks, creativity in the middle and Zlatan! Would be great to watch

32 year old doing all the leg work vs City/Arsenal/Chelsea

If he's going to Arsenal the go hell for leather for him, if he's going abroad then let him go

 Basti would be out of gas after his first ten minutes of finger pointing.

Would love to have him here. Presumably won't be that expensive either. Move Mkhitaryan to #10 role and if we sign Pogba, use Pogba in a box to box role. And obviously have a DM behind those two (not Schweinsteiger). It won't be the most defensively sound midfield but it can work. Mkhitaryan is a hard worker and is pretty good defensively for an attacking player (because of his experience playing in midfield).
