Can't cope with this fancy hyperlinking shite. ;)

If he is then sign the cnut up, we've got a spare 5 mill from what we would have paid the scum so that pays off his wages and saves spending a shitload on Duff and not to mention getting another true world class player
If your not bullshittin ofcourse because that link don't work ;)

why couldnt they get a fee even at his age?

but agree with roy he would be a mistake even though it wont happen

I don't care how good or cheap he is, he's a cheating bastard and I don't want him anywhere near my club.

Likewise, I don't care how good he is he's a world class player who would be an asset to the club

if we don't go for ronaldo then this is a better deal than sheringham, we will have replaced cantona properly.

100k a week, works out about 5.2 million a year, sign him up for 3 years and see what happens.

ronaldo would cost more!!!!!

our number nine position would be sorted, and tehn we could buy duff, and a back up lb.

we should also buy him just to stop him from going to madrid, where he would make our task for CL glory even more difficult.

even if we don't want him, sign him up and part exchange him for ronaldo or ronaldhino.

Perfect link up player. Can take on players,is creative.Even if he is a cheater he is still one of the best players in the world.

let the fecker rot in hell ... i wouldnt want the bastard anywhere near my club .. he´d feck it all up

no one would object to zidane joining us, even though he stamped on a player in WC 98!!!!!!1

1 mistake, what about cantona, all geniuses have certain negatives.

this guy saved barca arse/ass so many times on his own, they are lucky they got an arse/ass even though they did not have a world class team like ours.

he feckin brilliant in the air, is world class at free kicks with his left foot from the right especially. he is a top top dribbler, u can pass him a ball from anywhere, at any speed and 99% of the time he'll control it, he would be the perfect player for veron (as the pressure will be off him pricewise after rio is signed), who like to come deep.

he has a feckin awsome shot and would be our new number nine.

one mistake against a player who maybe was harrassing him on the field, so waht, if u can forgive a kung fu kick or a stamp why not that.

don't be blind to the fact he can save our ass on his own, when we are playing badly, currently only beckham and giggs can do that.

also queros speaks his languag aswell!!!!!

just watch barca's lat game of the season last year, against valencia, where he single handledly, won that game for them.

:)

what aboutwhen he played livershite in the CL, he instigated all the attacks, and gerrard, hamman and co could not get the ball off him, they gave freekick after free kick, all because of rivaldo.

he would make so much room for ruud/solkjaer, as he would be man marked.

He's one of the top 5 footballers in the world. Signing him on a free would be a no brainer.

Rivaldo, as good as he is/was, has fecked up Barca for years with his hold up play..he always takes too much time on the ball and he loses a lot of balls and never tracks back..

At 30 he's not even as good as he used to be + he is a cheating sod and has a huge ego not to mention huge pay demands..

Mate, what Zidane and Eric did can be put down to impetuosity. What Rivaldo did was pure cheating. He tried to con the world in order to get a player punished. He's a cheat. Zidane and Eric were have to my knowledge never blatantly cheated in the way Rivaldo did (remember him holding his face when he went up with Sol Campbell too?).

He's a great player but he's a cheat.

That's exactly where you're wrong. Even when signing great players, you have to sign the right ones, the ones that fit you.

I thought people would learn from the Veron farce.

You were ecstatic when we signed Veron, presumably because you thought he was the right player for us, and now you've done a 180. How can you be sure that Rivaldo couldn't make an impact. He's obviously still on top of his game, as evidenced by his level of play in the WC.

Never have I claimed I wasn't ecstatic just as much as any other red when we signed Seba..but now I understand what I didn't understand before and that is that playmakers just don't cut it in the PL and if they do then they have to have a lot of pace and great dribbling skills otherwise they are a burden..and Rivaldo loses a lot more balls than Seba..and does even less defence..and has a huge ego..and enourmous pay demands...and is 30..and is a cheating cnut..etc

So basically he's just not the right player for us...even if he is "free"

You're being overly cynical on this one Roy. He's still a tremendous weapon and would link up well with a Becks and Seba and Giggsy. Just because he doesn't fit your ideal character test, doesn't mean he can't be effective. That's just my 2c.

His ego is too big. His work rate is non existent and I think he´d feck us up. He´s a part timer who only plays well when he can be arsed to do so. We don´t need something like him.

I don´t want the twat anywhere near my club.

I am not too bothered about Rivaldo diving/cheating, it just takes a good kick up the arse to sort that out.

I know after the massive fee for Rio, sorting ourselves up front with Rivaldo on a free catches the eye. The wages are not that huge a problem.

I know Rivaldo's skill is sublime.

BUT I DON'T WANT TO SEE HIM IN A UTD SHIRT

NO feckING WAY!

He fecks up team spirit, he fecks up that drive/determination sheer bloody-mindedness we need to regain as a team.

When he faces the heat he looks like a fecking fridge, he doesn't care at all, he has no spirit whatsoever.

He would proabably do wonders every now and then but he would single handedly contribute to another heartless, trophyless, menopausic season.

Furthermore, I want to start seeing a new United being built up for the future and not tinkering with quick-fix patches approaching the end of their careers.

SOD HIM <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

And you be the asshole of the week for trying to ridicule anyone who doesn´t agree with you.

I wasn't ridiculing you, just using sarcasm to illustrate your overly cynical assessment of Rivaldo.

Asshole.

Come on Jens, let's face it, our tirades weren't exactly the kind of balanced judgement you would expect from a scout :D

He's just taking the piss out of the reaction faced with the prospect of Rivaldo. Any fan will go bonkers like that over some players they don't want to see in their team.

Rivaldo - he's crap, he's a cheater, I don't want him anywhere near my club....he's Brazilian, South Americans flop in the Premiership - just look at Veron. He's an asshole, a cheater, not Utd quality etc.

Please don't let my fair and balanced accounting of Rivaldo ruin your day Jens. ;)

Why do you have a problem with the "he's a cheater I don't want him anywhere near my club" opinion Raoul? And who said he's crap?

He´s a good player, but I have too many reservations about his character. He wouldn´t fit in at Old Trafford. I don´t want to see a guy like him in red.

Good point. Most slagging him would probably get nervous in a hurry if he went to Arsenal or Liverpool.

God, imagine the diving if him and Owen played up front together. They might as well rename the Kop the Deep End.

Let him win 2-3 games a season for them on his own and feck up their team spirit. No problem.

I don't have a problem with the cheating part, though that type of behaviour is endemic throughout football in general. Footballers routinely wrythe in pain to waste time, use their hands when they feel they can get away with it, kick the ball away to waste time, slap and elbow players who have them in their pockets to retaliate after a frustrating, ineffective day. Some even jump into stands and kick the shit out of fans. Fix the culture first, then you can crucify individual players for being apart of it.
