Rio Olympics 2016

Nnervy watching all of those other riders afterward, but three clears speaks for itself.

Off to the modern pentathlon, then the hockey.

Joe Joyce into the Super heavyweight final. His final opponent did his ankle in his semi as well.

Looking to follow Anthony Joshua and keep the title in the UK for another four years.

Well, I've followed show jumping most of my life and Nick has always been a favourite. In 2000 he broke his neck in 2 places and was told another fall could be fatal. His gold medal here is truly remarkable.

As the camera pans along our hockey team for the national anthem, I can't help but think, "Bang, bang, would not bang, bang, bang..."

now that was a penalty shoot out worth watching!

Great from Team GB ladies hockey team!!! Gold!!!!

I know nothing about hockey but Britain looked like they were hanging on at the end of normal time

Well done GB! Hockey penalties are interesting.

Yeah, I think it football, they should have a similar: say 2 attackers vs GK and 1 defender, starting from half way line and 20 secs. Or something like that.

Yesssssssss. Actually starting to feel confident we can finish ahead of China.

I was thinking the same after watching the Germans v Netherlands, just 10 secs and the outfield player can't take a direct shot like a penalty and the gk can come out just like in hockey, less of a lottery than basic penalties.

yes, it requires much more skill. Would make the outcomes more acceptable and palatable.

seeing this many dutch girls sweaty and crying really takes me back to my last visit there.

Exactly, maybe standard penalty in the game because it's a reward for a foul but shootouts would be a lot fairer the hockey way.

Team GB have done so well. Its remarkable.

They should be commended and celebrated when they get home.

Poor Leicester. Win the PL against all odds and expectations and yet still won't (or at least shouldn't) win SPOTY Team of The Year.
