Right Winger... Who do we go for?

Every time they were defending or start attacks they line looked like that, and as they came closer to Brazils goal they switched to something like:

Lukaku is doing great in both positions and wrorking his ass of for the team, thats why i think we should bring one more striker so we can rest Lukaku in easy games. Last year he played too many games and thats probably because of it his form dropped a bit for a couple of weeks. I have no idea how much Vardy would cost, but if we could bring in a guy that is proven in PL already, that would help a lot.

As for the right wing, Bale is probably the best "realistic" option. But if Real sells Ronaldo, Bale will stay 100%. If Ronaldo stays, Real could sell Bale to get more money to buy a new superstar (Neymar, Hazard etc etc). But he will probably cost around 100-120m.

However, i think we should focus on bringing in a new LB first.
 
We need to go all in for Mbappe. This guy will almost instantaneously propel our team forward. And if we can't get Mbappe, I would consider Douglas Costa as a cheaper option. The guy should have started the games ahead of Willian. He offers direct play by taking on his opponent and delivers a cross almost everytime. He looked very threatening and menacing when he came on today. But Mbappe is worth 150m right now. Ed should consider making him his marquee signing and forget signing Bale or CR7. The great thing about Mbappe is that he's a complete team player and would jive with the current group of players.

As much as I would love him here, how in the world are PSG going to sell him? Even if FFP kicks in, we have to contend with Real who most likely will be flush with Ronaldo money and to whom Mbappe would reportedly rather join.

He’s a good player at a good price, what’s not to like? He may not be good enough in your opinion but that doesn’t mean he’s not a good player. I might say as well that your wording is a bit arrogant. We’ve certainly been linked to and bought worse players!

No way the former is happening without offering Pogba + a shit load of money in return.

Costa has just signed for his team this summer so it would be far from a cheap deal to get him
 
One thing people have to remember when trying to put Lukaku at the right wing, that even though he isn't half bad there, today was quite a specific game due to Marcelo's offensive prowess, basically playing as a winger for them. Martinez knew Lukau would have plenty of space down that flank and he could abuse his pace. It will be/would be very different against a team that digs deep against us where a fullback is focused on defending more than attacking.

If we sign a top CAM/No.10/SS like Dybala, Eriksen, Fekir, Draxler, James, Isco... we could play 4312 formation.

19 years old.
Jose doesn't give many minutes to teenagers (if any).
Jose needs to win the league this season, so won't be willing to take any risks on teenage boys (or even 22 year olds, who need to be coaxed into playing ;)).
Dalot has virtually no first team football experience, so won't be good enough to jump into the role of RB in his first season. IF he comes good, we'll probably see him regularly in about 3 years.

If we are penny pinching (and I suspect that we are), then I'd rather have Shaqiri in our squad than having no "proper" RW option.
Mata is very slow and I believe is actually more suited to NO.10. While Lingard is an enigma.

What? 3 years? You expect him to sit on the bench for 3 years? And do you expect Valencia to last here 3 years or that he will be playing at a top level for 3 years? I doubt all that
I'm sure he wanted reassurances that he'll be given playing time, before he signed for us
He'll get his chances this year, he'll be backup to Valencia and if he comes good I expect to see him starting next year which won't surprise me if half the things I have read about him is true

For fecks sake though, Chong is not ready to be a starter for United. Chong is 18, Willian is 30 next month. Willian has maybe 3-4 years as a winger tops, he'd not be blocking Chong long term if he arrived.

The saying is, if you're good enough you're old enough. Not if you're promising enough. Willian is at the level where he's starting XI for quarter finalists Brasil. Chong is nowhere near that yet.
 
I still don't see why Sanchez can't play right wing. And I think that Shaqiri would be a good option and a cheap squad player for just 12m. It's not a risky investment at all

I’m starting to think 4-3-1-2 is a very good option, which would allow Lukaku to naturally drift right and Sanchez drift left, which suits them both.

To make it work I’d be wanting a top class No.10 like Dybala though - perhaps Juve could be forced to sell to fund Ronaldo.
 
I've watched a TV Report on Mbappé's life, his debut, his spectacular growth since he was a child last week (L'Equipe 21 in France). During all the TV report (family, coaches, friends etc) were claiming he dreams playing at Real since he was a child and that's always the case. So we can forget him.

And it's not our attack needs that much of new blood.

I'd take a punt on Shaqiri at £12m if there's no one else available. That being said and being realistic I'd prefer Lozano. Let him and Sanchez swap wings all match.

Varane, Mikel, Zouma, Morata, Rashford? All teens or 20 when played often by Jose. I think his priority is how ready the young lad is. If Dalot is good enough, he will get his chances but if he is not, Jose won't exactly be eager to 'groom'.
 
Rebic has been looking good during WC. Should be considered.

Chong is exactly why I need a Willian like player in the right. Willian is 29 and also plays as a right sided midfielder. I say we get Willian and make Chong his deputy. With Dalot/Valencia supporting on the right, we'll be a real threat.
People are wondering why Barca would be interested in Willian. For the top teams, it is always about quality in depth. Having Willian and Dembele as options will make Barca's right wing dangerous throughout the season and across competitions.
 
I don't think we'll end up signing one, as ridiculous as it sounds. Mourinho said he was happy with his forward options following the Sanchez signing and there hasn't been serious links to anyone (apart from maybe Willian) so far.

I hope I'm wrong though, the right wing has been neglected for far too long.

No thanks, as someone who watches a lot of crappy concacaf football, pulisic is a better option that Lozano, plus Lozano’s natural position is an inverted winger on the left, which we have a ton of.
 
Jesse Lingard is the man, dont think we will sign anyone for RW, Lingard, Rashford and Mata will play there, i expect 2 more incommings, a leader at cb, and a backup for Lukaku. Toby Alderweireld and Mario Mandzukic would be my guess, unless Martial leaves, then we might sign Willian.

Was surprised Brazil didn’t use him more at the World Cup always impressed me every time I have watched him. Remember we were linked with him when he was at Shakhtar. Think his style of play is perfect for the premiership. Good signing for Juve
