Richard Keys: The Ramblings of a Madman

Keys didn't suggest Roberto Matrinez for the Utd job. It was Andy Gray who did that. Keys actually suggested Zidane

If Martinez is an actual consideration for anybody at the club, you can count me firmly in the #JoseIn camp.
I mean, what would be so bad? His teams, albeit a bit soft, play with a bit of flair and style. He got Wigan passing and to an FA Cup before they were relegated.

His hatred for Benitez is quite amusing, and it's all because Big Sam doesn't like him. He's a complete lapdog to every PFM cause.

I swear he always has something negative to say about Rafa. I am biased as he was a former Liverpool manager but surely people can understand his approach to matches to certain matches like Chelsea? His squad is Championship quality and would get destroyed if they went in to attack every match...he almost got a point from the Chelsea match.

They must be suggesting him as a caretaker right? And no one at the club better not think of this as an option. Total madness if they do.
Lord have mercy, what next?

There are no words.

The first reply destroys him.

"I’ll never understand a man who cheats in his sick wife with his daughters best mate. It says a lot about his personality and they’ll let you down later on in life too."

I read that tweet initially as

"but I will never understand a old man walking out on his wife. It says a lot about his personality & lack of character. For sure he will let you down badly again later in life."

He’s like a heel wrestler trying to get heat from the audience at every opportunity.

The silence.

Martinez was widely touted until he screwed up a good position at Everton.

He's done ok with a very talented Belgium side but they are playing for their country first and foremost;it's a huge motivation.

Could he do the same at Utd? I have doubts as he has never shown a tactical nous, relying on attack over defensive pragmatism. The big question mark will always be against his defensive strategy.

He's way behind Poch in my book

To be fair, even though she's right, nobody who spells their name that way and links to the Mail should be listened to.

Martinez  im not even joking to say id sooner tony pulis

There's a pretty decent argument in your own post. Then there's Everton.
Still nobody has presented any specific arguments to persuade me otherwise. Wigan punched above their weight for years.

I’m not saying he’s the solution or even he should be at the top of the pile, but I fail to see why many of you are scoffing at the very suggestion like someone is suggesting Paul Lambert or someone.

He's got to be in on the joke at this point. Got to be.

I'm sure he could organize the defence better than JM.

Stoke have got their man - and a good man too - in Paul Lambert. Paul is hugely experienced, very well connected and good at what he does. We’ve been delighted to have spent a lot of time with him at beINSPORTS while he’s been out of work. He knows the Premier League inside out. He knows all about relegation battles - having kept Villa up for three years on a £10m/year transfer budget. And he knows what he’s doing. Stoke have chosen well. On the face of it, I know it doesn’t look too exciting if you’re a Stoke fan. West Ham fans didn’t want David Moyes initially but I’ll bet they’re happy now. Roy Hodgson has got Palace moving and I’m hoping that Alan Pardew does the same thing at West Brom. British coaches eh? What do they know?

To think some want this idiot and Gray back on Sky, just beggars belief. The best thing that ever happened to Sky was those two going.
