Renato Sanches | Loaned to Swansea

He rejected us for Bayern? He can deal with the consequences now, don't want, shite anyway.

He was 19 and should have gone to a midlevel club where he would have been a starter and continue to develop. There was no way he would get enough minutes in any of the top European teams.

Have no problem with buying him for cheap and loaning him out to develop further.

They won't sell him for cheap.

So your feeling were hurt?

United didnt have a coach at that point and most players would have likely made a similar choice or do expect the kid to join United and have to play under Moyes 2.0?

The 19-year-old went on to star for his country as Portugal were crowned Euro 2016 champions and Rummenigge said United’s lack of manager meant Bayern were able to complete the transfer. Speaking to Portuguese publication zerozero, he said: “Renato had an offer from Manchester United. “But I heard, one day before our game against Atletico that the transfer wasn’t closed due to United not having a coach."
“We acted immediately. We invited Benfica’s president and the player’s agent to Madrid. The environment after the game wasn’t good, but we agreed the transfer that night and closed the deal with a handshake.”

From what I've seen of him I would hope we stay clear of this potential transfer.

He was average as they come at the Euros.
The kid was 18 and even if he was average in the Euros that in of itself was an accomplishment at that age. He was voted the young player of the tournament ahead of Coman and Guerreiro and was voted man of the match twice - that is not average.

The kid has got talent and you cant deny him that simply because he shunned your club.

Feelings* and no, i'm not feeling hurt, however, he is shite and there's a reason he isn't getting play time. If players don't want to play for us I don't want us to get them simple as. I don't know how you gauge how i'm feeling via the internet bud.

Bayern know their midfielders. Leon goretzka will be an amazing player.

He is not getting playing time because there are better players ahead of him at Bayern, but that does not make him shite like you allege. Also there is no proof that he did not want to play for United (on the contrary a deal was almost agreed) but that he felt going to Bayern was a better choice at the time.

So if your response is not objective then it is based on your feelings and that can be gauged easily, even over the internet.

So now I can't have an opinion because it's not in line with yours? He's shite mate and if you can respect that's my opinion then fair enough. I'd say you're ASSUMING, since I'm not actually feeling hurt about the situation like you claimed I was. Cheer up sunshine.

2 year loan and an option to buy at a fair rate. Interested.

Play it the way they did with Coman at Juve. Similar situations (albeit higher prices).

No point doing ourselves out of a deal here. Jose likes him, we know. He's an incredibly talented player that has played at a higher level than Tielemans and could work well switching into key positions for us.

Loan + fix price to buy him would be nice.

It would be a smart deals from us, having the chance to see how the player adapts before handing obscene amounts of money.

Sold with only 35 games in the first team. If he moves, he better chose wisely.

When I was saying we shouldnt buy him and he wasnt that good a year or so back the vast majority of posters were saying we should buy him and he was going to be a superstar. Now people dont want him?

I would be assuming if there was no proof but the proof is in you own post.

You are entitled to your opinion that he is shite but cannot claim that your opinion is objective, as several other people who are more knowledgeable than you (including SAF, Mourinho, and Rummenigge) say he has talent. Thus your opinion is subjective, and given your reference to him not wanting to play United (which again is not true), it shows it is based on your feelings.

What nonsense, why should we be the ones giving him game time for Bayern? He had his chance and he choose Bayern, let him deal with it.

So apparently my posts are showing my true feelings, ones I can't identify myself is what you're saying? I find that difficult to believe unless I was in denial which, over something so petty wouldn't make much sense. Incoming jargon preaching I'm sure, time to black you son.

As others have said, don't really want to have a player here who turned us down already.

Didn't he say he rejected us so he could play with world class players.....he feck off?

That list would include: Neuer, Ramos, Bale, Robben, Benzema, Hazard, and Kroos
BTW Van der Saar rejected United for Juventus in 1999 - wonder how much you hated him when he was eventually signed.

Think people are taking the "he reject us before" too far.

And we're not going to sign any of them either so it's not an issue.

Has to agree. Don't really care much about this and players opinion change all the time.

My only concern is if he comes on loan, completely unacceptable for me, if he's for permanent sale I have no big problems. Jose wanted him by name last season so he'll know how to use him.

Did he even really turn us down? I thought LvG wasn't sure he was all that good, and we were dithering around still while Bayern came in and completed a deal in just a few days.

Pogba left us for another big club, having run his contract down. Is that not worse?

If Jose rates him then it would be silly to get hung up by such things.

Didn't rate him in the summer when the world was puring over him, don't rate him now. Anderson mrk II in every sense

I read a report about Bayern backing away from Semedo due to his price. I think they got burnt.

No doubt these kids have talent, but they are being sold overpriced after just one season.

Can't see where he would fit. He is a roaming center mid like Pogba. A holding midfielder is far more urgent.

Didnt Mourinho say he would have signed him if he had been here earlier? If its true they only want the 30 million euros back, whats that 25 million quid? then I can see mourinho being in for him. Hes 19-20? hes got to be better than Lingard at least!

Maybe but Kicker is not a tabloid that would just make something up, is it?
Nah, you're right. They aren't the best source but they don't make crap up or hype every rumour.
However, there is barely any chance he ends up at United. Bayern would never agree to a buy option (unless astronomical high) in his loan and obviously United wouldn't take him just to develop him for them. He's not good enough to get a lot of minutes for either team anyway, they should send him on loan to a mid/bottom table Bundesliga/PL team that suits his physical defensive style so that he can get some playing time. Doesn't look like a good transfer either way.
